In this particular case, no backlit keyboard DOES NOT kill the deal (IMO).

Product Description from Store
This was posted about a week ago for $420 and I bought it online. Tomorrow is the last day that I have to pick it up. I've been wracking my brain whether to really buy it or just let the order be canceled. Now I can save $40 and simply rebuy it.
Oddly enough, I did visit a local Best Buy store to see it in real life. The price had increased from $420 back up to $750. This was just two days ago and now it's down to $380. Weird.
I thought the display didn't look as good as others and the unit seemed plasticky. But improving on those would more than double the price.
There's no way I'd spend $750 but at $380, I may have to take the plunge.

Q: QuestionIs the display have an ips panel? Or a TN panel with bad viewing angles?
A: Not sure on the specs, but I have checked the view from pretty far to either side and do not see much deterioration in how well I can see the screen.

Sounds like a decent deal for the price but some clear corner-cutting going on

If you don't need a portable device, may be better off still getting a mini PC and saving $50 and putting that towards potentially more RAM or whatever. But if getting something for young kids to do school work or for grandparents or just for projects, seems a solid deal.
