Resolution was incorrectly listed at first, now corrected. 1900x1200 so FHD 16:10 aspect.
8GB is soldered. Answered by an owner in the Q&A.

Seems like a good buy. Only potential caveat I can see is that I don't find "IPS" anywhere. The ASUS product page doesn't list it, and the newegg product page says IPS-Level display. Luckily, it's probably not as hard to return when buying from BB if it doesn't work out.

1) correct
2) You could put a 16GB in the slot currently having 4GB, sure. A user said they did so and no issues with gaming. But 8GB may be enough and may be a better choice for dual channel. I think I would go with a matching 8GB or leave it with 12GB. But RAM is cheap so you do you. For all I know you could sub in a 32GB sodimm for the 4GB stick? 40GB total. Often the mfg claims a certain max RAM that is really not the case. So, check around is my advice. I do not know what ASUS claims as max.

That's nice, but per eBay's listing, and per BB it is not backlit. ASUS does state that is optional. I am gonna go with never say always and trust the owner, sellers, and mfg on this one as it is not standard.

Backlit kbd is a requirement for me to consider. So it is important.
