FYI if you live in California you can return the geek squad protection within 60days for full money back and after that at pro rata anytime. That's pretty good deal for peace of mind imho.

What's everyone's delivery dates?
Mines the 9th (moving into first home!) Hoping to hear some reactions/reviews from the community prior to my delivery. 😅🙏
Congrats on the new home! Mine is scheduled for delivery on the 31st. It looks like this TV is available for pickup at some warehouses - hopefully someone near one too impatient for delivery picks it up and gives their opinions soon 😂

Really tempting, especially with free hung up. Just wonder if the google system works OK on these TVs. Had really bad experience with google TV's system, but those are low-end TVs. Roku is much better.
I have dealt w/ many of the OS that are paired in the TCL TV's. The ones that offer Roku OS are far better. I've dealt with several Google TV OS ones and they all are sluggish.

Looking at the back picture of the TCL 98in and trying to figure out which are the mounting bracket holes. Anyone know?

I have a Sony 85 in and was wondering if my old wall mount would work and if I would need to put my current mount lower or higher depending on where the holes are.

Are there any current mounts that can handle TV's over 98in?

Thanks.

Can confirm the free mounting comes in handy. 98" tcl. Took 3 geek squad guys to hang up. They also moved my Samsung 85" 950TS to the bedroom. Good service and job by bestbuy.

The mounting holes on TCL are lower than most others (annoyingly- so if you want to replace it with another tv you have to move the mount). If you have a Sanus mount they have a thing on their website called height finder which is super helpful.

How do you like the TCL? Feel free to send me the 950TS - gorgeous looking design with the almost no bezel.

Had TV for 2 weeks now, was able to get PM from Best Buy. So far my family and I have enjoyed the large screen. Picture is very good watching 4k Content. I also have a 77 inch LG oled that's now going into my bedroom, but for $2k I think this is a great deal.

I bought the Amazon Human Centric Mount Brian B referenced in his YouTube videos, but Monoprice had a very similar just as good mount.

https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=12280

I ended up keeping the Monoprice because it was on sale. I mounted the bracket by myself and had my son help me lift it onto the bracket. I like this Mount because it's solid. I literally was hanging from it. Plus bonus is I can extend the TV out quite a bit from the wall, which makes cleaning and hooking up new equipment so much easier.

If you're on the fence buy the Best Buy Membership plan for $50, this gives you 60 days to try it out and return if you don't like it.

How do you feel compared to your LG. Also how's the mount. I was looking at the fixed version

Also only 800 nits
the next model up has 1500 nits
the top end hisense has 3000 nits

800 nits spread across 100 inches, is it bright enough?

there's a reason why this is so cheap
Nits don't get "spread across". It's a unit of intensity—technically, candelas per square meter. You're thinking of lumens, which do get spread out. So, an 800 nit 100" TV is going emit waaayyy more total lumens (over twice) than an 800 nit 65" TV.
