I posted the Motorola Mesh WiFi system listing all the downsides like poor Amazon reviews. System worked well, then got hinky and lost connection to modem on and off, sometimes 15min at a time. No support so returned. Picked this up, installed, fast, stable and good so far. Walmart selling cheaper than Amazon's refurbished and most stores you can order, pick up same day. IDK if shelf price is the same. It covers our 4,000ft with its 2 nodes. 2 year warranty. App install easy.

Great addition to my pair of Deco W3600's. The W3600's cover my house ~4000+ sq ft very well, except for one room - too many walls. Added one these W2400 (via the TP-Link app) and up and running in less than 5 minutes for cheap.
I don't think that's what it means because when I do a Speedtest on an older model than this I get 423mbps and I have 400 service so I'm getting even more than what I'm paying for and that's through Wi-Fi.
Your analysis is correct. The gentleman was theorizing that 10/100 is the final output speed, except that applies to the LAN part. So that's where the confusion was. As I mentioned earlier myself, it's ideal for casual uses based on WiFi. For LAN, if it's devices like SmartThings, Ooma/VoIPs, NUC, 10/100 is more than enough. Often, folks are too focus on speed and may have missed the importance of stability, durability, reliability and usability. Thank you.
Had this for a year in a one story 2700 square foot house. Very reliable and consistent 50-100 mbps for most of house. Distant bedroom is about 10 but perfectly usable.
2 adults. College kids visit occasionally, no complaints.
We stream 4K on one TV at a time since it's just the two of us.
Thanks for the info. I may pick up a pair for my parents later. I need something super robust like the WRT54GL they are using (they don't make routers like that anymore). That thing was on non-stop for 15+ yrs without any issue. Even after occasional power outages, it just rebooted and worked flawlessly. I like to duplicate that kind of performance.
Thanks! I'm getting this pair and will see if speeds top out at 100mbps. Replacing my single t mobile cell spot that I've been using for years but don't get stable wifi at the other end of the house. Worst case I can always return them if they are limited.

That older model has Gigabit ports then or it's daisy chaining off the Wifi side for that speed. If you have a modem and plug into this with a hardwire you will get < 100mbps for internet ( I actually thought it was a typo, and am super surprised but a youtube review also confirmed it was 10/100 only )

While I don't have this model I have another DECO series (2 of the 5300 packs from Costco using 5 of them in mesh).
Also the DECO series can do wired backhaul ( preferred ) meaning you can run a wire from one deco to the other to have more stability and less interference (two of mine are wired to the main deco via 1000mbps connection).
IF you hardwire your modem or modem/router into the DECO you are limited to 100mbps WAN ( internet ) speed with THIS MODEL on wireless devices connected to the DECOs. That does not mean you can't get >100mbps if your modem/router combo has gb ports and you plug in, or if you leave that routers wireless on ( they recommend against it though ).

You would still get >100mpbs on lan2lan traffic 9
