These Weber grills are really nice for the price. You can get cheaper grills that might have a higher BTU rating but the build quality is not the same. Webers generally have a thicker gauge steel and have better heat retention. The heat distribution is usually a lot better too. Some of the cheaper grills will have 5 burners but you'll notice that the flames would be hotter in a specific corner or only on one side.

I have the 210 and always shut it off at the tank. I have to look into this, I had no idea…
What a nightmare.
Found rust in various places, so it's not like these grills don't rust like everybody likes to pretend.
If you're going to look at a Genesis grill, I would recommend looking at the Napoleon Prestige series instead - still made in the US and Canada, and the optional side infrared burner is awesome. If you're looking at something cheaper, I would look at other brands before Weber...

They directly compare it, feature-by-feature, to the Weber Genesis E335.
I've never owned a Weber but I've owned a Kirkland grill for over 10 years prior to this so I know you don't have to buy name brand to get a good grill..
For $299, if I keep it covered and it lasts 5+ years (should last more) then I'm happy and didn't spend $1000 on a name-brand 4-burner. That's my logic.
FWIW, I used the Sam's Club grill last night for the first time on some Filet steaks. They came out perfect.
If you have only a small space for a BBQ, I would probably get this Weber but if you want bigger and spend less, the Sam's Club one works well.
This is what prevents me from jumping on this. Worried 2 burners /26k BTU just isn't gonna cut it when I want to crank it.

Where did you find this info? I looked at the Weber site and it's recommended to close at the fuel source.
From what I read
Propane tanks and natural gas lines are both "fuel sources" for gas grills. Many customers who leave their fuel source "on" do so as a matter of convenience. It's one less thing to turn on or off before and after grilling.
Regardless of the fuel source, for safety reasons, it's very important to turn off the supply of gas to the grill when it's not in use.
If someone or something were to turn on one the control knobs on the grill, it would fill with gas, creating the potential for a very dangerous situation. The best case outcome to this scenario is that the customer would have wasted their gas.
