While there is stuff to do with the headset, VR just hasn't become popular/convenient enough for developers to really start migrating to the platform yet. Apple entering the VR space might change that.
My favorite and most highly recommended experiences are to play modded Skyrim/Fallout 4, which technically you don't need the headset for and are not exclusive to VR. That being said, the level of immersion I got from playing modded Skyrim VR is unlike anything I've ever felt while playing a game - and really hints at the untapped potential and bright future of the platform.
Outside of that, there are some good VR games out there if you dig around. And it can be very enjoyable to watch movies on a virtual home theatre (albeit locked to 720p with the Quest 2)
I expect we'll have to wait a few more years for hardware to reach an acceptable level of comfort/convenience/price that people will really start taking it seriously.
Quite a few reviews suggesting that that's a fraudulent listing, citing receiving rocks, a refurbished unit, a unit with items removed, etc.!
I'm also seeing a bunch of bad reviews because they don't have their VR legs yet. Sometimes I really wish I could reply to reviews.
To anyone who sees that, motion sickness is your body and it's normal. These reviews are like talking trash about a new boat because you got sick out in the ocean. It doesnt happen to everyone when they start. (Lucky b*sta*ds) Some people need to ease into moving around in VR. Your brain knows somethings not right when you move but your body isn't doing it. You can trick it a little by moving, but some people are more sensitive to it than others. There's a lot of games and things to do that you don't have to worry about it with while you ease into the ones that do.
Thank you! Was not able to price match as it was beyond the window but will buy for new price and return as older. Saves me 50$. 😀
If it's a box of fossils from China, in down. That sounds cool!
