Newegg has Seasonic Connect SSR-750FA 750W 80+ Gold Power Supply w/ Backplane for $78.99. Shipping is free.

Newegg Inc. via Walmart has Seasonic Connect SSR-750FA 750W 80+ Gold Power Supply w/ Backplane for $78.99. Shipping is free.

Thanks to Deal Hunter SehoneyDP for sharing this deal.

Note: The backplane is not designed for every chassis. Case modding skill may be required.

Features:
  • During installation only need to use two cables from the power supply to power the CONNECT. While the power supply itself supports the +12 V, -12 V and +5 Vsb rails, the CONNECT converts this power to provide the +3.3 V and +5 V outputs from the +12 V rail.
  • Unsurpassed silent performance in Fanless Mode. The fan control button at the back of the power supply allows users to customize cooling needs by selecting between Seasonic S2FC (fan control without Fanless Mode) and S3FC (fan control including Fanless Mode).
Good Deal?

These power supplies were made for certain Seasonic cases, such as the Seasonic ARCH Q503 Mid-Tower Case. That case has an unusual layout that accomodates the power supply. I have one.

Getting it to work with other cases would be extremely difficult.
I didn't know that this was even a product.
Looks interesting.
I have this. Pretty good. I'm using it in a case made for it, but I think it would work fairly well in larger general cases. I've got a fractal design 7 XL that I think I could transplant it to, for example.

The "power extension" part has your PCIe and Sata plugs and so on , plus RGB headers and fan headers. It's pretty clever.

If you attached the power extension bit somewhere in the case with magnets it would be fine.

Generally the case they offered with this was very good too. Inverted motherboard layout. Very good airflow. Able to hold a 420 rad. Has a special fan placement that cools RAM (good if you like overclocking).

Honestly they did a lot of great stuff with this. Shame we are unlikely to see another iteration.

I ordered it to try at this price before and definitely wouldn't pay $79 for this

I bought this for my last build and it was really difficult to put in a case. I had to buy some cable extensions to connect a few things.

I've been using seasonic psu exclusively for years but I don't understand the appeal of this or how it makes cable management any easier. Maybe in their custom designed case for it I guess

I think if there were the appeal that Seasonic thought there would be, then they wouldn't be discounting it as heavily as seen here. This power supply's MSRP isn't completely faked. When launched more than a few years ago this was priced over $150, though at the time this was still reasonably in range of other, comparably rated, A-tier power supplies.

Good luck!

Owned a Seasonic platinum Psu for several years. Drove it pretty hard with up to four GPU's back in the day, never once had an issue with it. They make great power supplies. This one with a backplane is a very clever idea.

Bought one. The strip can be attached anywhere with a magnet inside the case.

They have a 10 year warranty so lot of option for the future!

I could be wrong but I don't think this is a good buy unless you have:
  • a case that was built for this PSU
  • a ATX full tower case
It obviously wont fit a ITX micro case but I would avoid this even for a ATX mid case. I'm trying to understand the engineering and benefits of this but it'll probably make more sense when it's installed in a case that's built for it.

My Super Flower III PSU that I bought 2 years ago (10 year warranty) now has a loud, grinding fan noise and the fan eco modes no longer work. Just contacted Super Flower through Newegg msg center to see if I can get a replacement (lol... riiiiight) but if I can't I'm considering this as an inexpensive, high quality alternative. Only question is: will it fit in my Phanteks Eclipse P500A case with Asus z490-E Motherboard without issue?
