The current apu (which I have) is just too slow to run most game at 1080 high at stable 60 fps
Even for just an office pc it's a huge premium for the small size, we've seen many 5600g refurb desktops for 1/3 the price that already come with ram and ssd.
So confident and yet so wrong.

Obviously the strix halo hasn't been properly benchmarked, but all rumor to date says it will be around 7600xt level, surpass the 4060 laptop.
Even if the actual product is only half as fast, it will already be twice as fast compared to 780M
people seems to fantasize the current apu graphic performance, but put in perspective, the fasted apu graphic (780m) is about gtx 960. which is actually quite slow for today's game. the best gaming CPU from same era is things like i7 4790, just to gave you a frame of reference

Even in this thread, plenty of people mentioned different usecases and the thing is gaming is never the main usecase for these kind of PCs. Look for some other threads for similar mini PC deals and you'll see that people have been discussing tons of different usecases for these Mini PCs.
People who know enough to not need any advice from someone like me would have had no reason to even read a single word I said.
This is slickdeals, every computer thread that has ever been on here has been full of people asking basic use questions like what I tried to answer in advance.
Also, even people who knew better have been taken in by the novelty of having a small box they could hide behind their tv to use for browsing and maybe game emulation and light gaming stuff to only realize later they regretted the purchase, and should have just gotten a larger and more capable system with quieter fans for the same or less money.

Depends on your needs. Millions people are fine with Intel xe graphics too. My point is simply provide a product that most gamer may be familiar with. most emulator aren't even using GPU, game like Roblox also isn't GPU intensive, you maybe better served by their Intel box with xe graphics as it got faster CPU than amd
For me for example, I want to play a particular game at least 1080 high at 60 fps, and I know that I need about 1070 performance to run. and unfortunately for me, even 1070 is about two to three times faster than 780m. that's why I am waiting for things like strix halo to be a sff box for my need
