They've marked it OOS/raised the price on the website but you can still get it for the lower price if you call.

Ask them to search for the Model # WYT012GLFI19RL on the website and they will see two results, one at $768 and one for $645.48 same item, they will adjust the price for you. Online Customer Support: 800-466-3337, select place an order in the menu.

============

Check and see if you'll qualify for a rebate on this unit. In FL I will get $150.

I have the 110V version of this installed in my ADU for the last 3 years. Works great, EZ install, you can DIY if you are handy and can read a manual. LOL

How do you get this repaired I've had mine for about a year now and it broke no one wants to work on it from what I gather youjust have to purchase a new one when it breaks. I'd rather buy a new window air conditioner when it breaks then pay 700 or more dollars for this plus installation

Good luck finding one of those with heat.
Midea does have an A/C Inverter model with a heat pump. I bought it from Costco a couple years ago. It isn't the U shape, but same technology. I was fine with it as it doesn't need the support bracket install like the U shaped unit.

Yup, just tried to fit a midea unit into my in-laws basement yesterday, in fact. Too big by 3/4 of an inch. So, currently, their only option is a loud portable unit or installing a mini-split. Frustrating.

The reason this is on sale is the low btu for a 200+ volt system. If this was 120v you'd be solid but look into adding the cost of a 240v circuit to this price (for most)

For 12k btu just get a window unit for half the price and near zero effort that works on 120v
Are there actually window units that heat?

I just bought this portable unit on sale [homedepot.com]for $604 with 3 year warranty. Have not hooked up yet as wonderful UPS delivered on its side. Going to let it set for a few days. This unit is supposed to be quiet but that remains to be seen or heard.

This was a one day sale btw. I think I will have anything heavy sent to store from now on. I had 3 mini-splits sent to HD store for pickup at different times and they arrived in great shape.

I have this exact unit that has been installed for about 2 years. It has been great until last week it started giving my E6 error which is a fan motor error in the indoor unit. Was fairly easy to take apart but looks a little more difficult to replace. I would buy the more (energy-star) efficient version [homedepot.com]of the unit and take 30% tax credit on the unit. The difference in electricity use will more than pay for the price difference. I just installed this unit and am amazed that it only draws about 3 amps at 240v rather than the 6 amps the above unit uses.

I had it in my cart and the price went up. $556.11 was my adjusted price after military discount but I also had another $9 item in my cart, good deal on a thing we were in the market for as our old Mitsubishi unit is throwing an error code we can't resolve. Already wired for 220v and same specs on new/old.

It's $495 on eBay every day for same unit with zokop badging. Pioneer just marks up midea units.
120V available, too.

The ebay unit does look similar. It doesn't appear to be low ambient though.

Yes, casement windows just kind of suck all around. But I feel like this gets mentioned in every window AC thread here, that there are window units designed for casement windows, as well as adapters, and many people come up with DIY solutions.

I get it though. My house was built in the early 1960's, and some of the windows have hinges on one side and swing out like a door. I don't need to put an AC in those, but there's no good way to put screens in them, so they basically always just stay closed.
