In store prices:
Weber Genesis II S-435 Gas Grill $999 @In-Store Price after $200 discount
Weber Genesis II E335 Gas Grill $699 @In-Store Price after $100 discount
That said, I converted one with a pack of spuds and drill bit for about $15 from Amazon. I needed a long quick disconnect gas hose, so that added another $70.
Why would you buy parts and do a self conversion when you can just choose the one you want? Go to Costco website. At the bottom you can select either LP or NG.
What additional accessories are needed for the conversion?
The orifice (burner) needs to be natural gas. Also the regulators on the hose line are not needed so some piping work needs done there as well. Many people love never running out of gas though, so it's not too hard to do.
I think I'll wait for Lowe's clearance deal. Ive seen so many post about that online. havent quite figured out what time of year though.... Some post I saw were in December which makes sense but not sure. do you remember when you got it ?
Just got the s435 this afternoon. The discount is good until 6/16. I went to one of the less crowdy Costco in NJ and the 335 already OOS but there are 6-7 435 that seem arrived few weeks ago. And more impressively, I and my wife be able to fit it in a Toyota Camry LOL.
I had the 3 burner enamel series for ~15 years until the door hinges rusted away. Picked up a 4 burner during one of the Slickdeals and have had it for years. I prefer the 3 burner. It got hotter and the grill felt more solid.
Purchased an E335 last weekend, was $799 in store.
Assembly wasn't too bad but removing and reinstalling the lid absolutely sucked definitely need 2 people to do that. Besides that there were a couple of non visible spots with no/flaking powder coating. I sprayed them with some high temp enamel paint just to make sure it wouldn't rust over time.
Initial impression is that it's very good quality, but time will tell. I also like having the tank externally accessible, super easy to install and remove, but it doesn't look the prettiest.
You will not regret the purchase. I have been missing their promo in the years past. So, I have been visiting Costco more often than I should this year and finally got one. The Unibody is solid. It can easily last at least 15 years with proper maintenance. I can now pass my Nextgrill to somebody who needs it.
I just got the $200 Kitchen Aid deal the other day…can anyone explain why they would pay more? What are the features that skyrockets a grill price? Mine has the searer too!
If you leave cheap grills in the open they will rust. Stainless Steel is great my Ducane ( old weber china) went for 12 years.
My besties got me this as a housewarming present when it was first introduced. Have it covered in a shaded spot on the patio. Runs like new and love it.
The 'newer' Genesis models are made in China. Most of these Genesis II models were made in USA.
If you examine a Genesis II vs. those 'newer' models, it's quite obvious the newer models are inferior.
BTW, I think this deal expires on Sunday, May 26... according to Costco magazine promo.
Once I came into the "Weber" world, 11 years now. I found out mine was made in China. Sprint I E-210, upgraded the grates and the flavorizer bars since I saw they were junk. Went through an igniter and a few grill covers covered under warranty. Glad I never bought a "throw away grill".

Because it's $1,149 online for both NG/LP and $999 in store — they only offer LP in store though.
I went ahead and ordered the NG version. I was thinking about the conversion route but was getting mixed answers here and from Google on if it could be done or not. People were saying it could be done but you're doing it at risk and/or it wouldn't operate as well as one bought setup as NG in the first place.
The kits were expensive for conversion anyways so I just paid the equivalent extra $50 and got one already setup for NG.
This is a good deal still because price is even higher elsewhere.

The issue isn't the features. It's the longevity. On most cheaper grills, the burners and grill tub rust out in a year or so. Weber usually goes a decade for the grill tub and 3-5 for the burners.

Nah, it has been a while. Sorry
