We have a similar set in the kobalt 80v trimmer and blower. It's been great! The only thing I see with this set is a feature some people may want; a detachable head. Being able to swap to a different tool has been nice. We swap out our trimmer head with an edger.

One more thing about battery tools is that lithium batteries are happiest/most stable around 50% charge. I've told my Dad this, but he always keeps them fully charged so they're ready for use. I would only charge them up before I intended to use them. We've killed one battery so far. Keeping them fully charged through the winter is a bad practice!

Having an 80v Kobalt mower myself I got here last year for 299 with two 2.5ah batteries.....I always charge my batteries and store them in the basement instead of the garage 👍

fun fact : Kobalt is the greenworks made for Lowe's only

ALERT: This deal gets even slicker if you buy the trimmer and blower separately. For $40 more you get TWO extra 80V 2.0ah batteries and ONE extra charger, bringing the total count to 1x 80V 2.5ah battery + 3x 80V 2.0ah batteries + 2x chargers + 1x trimmer + 1x blower for $360.

Or you can just buy the blower for $185 and get 1x 80V 2.5ah battery + 1x 80V 2.0ah battery + 1x charger. Or buy the trimmer for $175 and get 2x 80V 2.0ah batteries + 1x charger.

For context, on best buy's website the charger retails for $100, on sale currently for $66 and the 80V 2.0ah batteries retail for $150 each at best buy and costco currently has a 80V 2.0ah 2x pack with no charger for $200. So for $40 more you're getting an extra $266 to $366 in parts depending how you value it.

In addition, for any of the deals above, you can add on a 80V 4.0ah battery for $55 off the $230 standard price, bringing it down to $175. If you plan on buying 2 80V 4.0ah batteries then costco is cheaper with their 2x 80V 4.0ah pack for $300.

This works, and don't forget the Cashback on the cashback sites

It doesn't matter where you store them. They are the most stable around 50% charge. If you want to save your phone battery you don't want to charge it past 80% unless you're about ready to use it. The Chevrolet Volt Battery only allows users access to 80% of the battery capacity to minimize battery wear. It's the chemistry of the battery.

My phone has an accurate % .....my mower doesn't. What do you consider to be 50% since you are so sure about this number 🤔

Ordered the trimmer with the 2 batteries. Thanks for the info.

I already have the blower and 2 older batteries so this comes in handy.

Full charge deteriorates batteries, but storing and charging them in a temperature controlled space will also make a big difference in their life span.

I agreed that their customer service is the worst!! Called them, you would be waiting for HOURS!! If you choose the option have them call you back, haha, they will call you back right before their customer service department close, once you pick up the call the call ended !! Yes this happened to me number of times!!! Unbelievable

Electric yard tool's definitely have some advantages over gas, specifically related to engine maintenance. Unless you meticulously maintain and run gas powered small engines, you WILL have issues eventually. Also, the torque on electric is insane. But to each their own.

That's why I said fuel injected. Problem solved.
The battery with this one is a joke.
