Good saw. Doesn't seem like a huge deal over the regular price but they rarely go lower and they're already a great value.
I have one and it definitely punches above this price point as far as I'm concerned. Louder than a cabinet saw of course, but haven't bogged it down yet either. Blade took very minor adjustment out of the box to get it "perfect" which was easy to do with the micro adjustment screw.

It's not much heavier than a fully loaded suitcase and has a sturdy handle, so you aren't breaking your back to move a "portable" saw.

My only gripe is that the throat plate flexes on narrow stock and the inserts available are either aftermarket (expensive-ish) coated MDF or OEM plates made of the same flexing plastic as the included one. It's a fairly shallow mount so making a sturdy and moisture stable zero clearance insert isn't as easy as cutting a piece of 3/4" plywood and dropping it in place.

[QUOTE=igrek2000;171142431]Got mine from AliExpress couple weeks ago for $207+tax. Brand new shipped from US and has Amazon sticker on the box.All properly aligned at the factory. Small adjacent for the riving knife.

Yours was better pricing than mine via Contractor Tool Supply using CODE 10May (chat online with them to get updated 10% code for June) for $260 shipped but who do you trust more? I usually don't order from any company that starts with Ali...

It's the same Chinese staff Big Grin. Ali provides free returns within 90 days. Got registered mine at SKIL,com in order the warranty to be extended for 3 years.

First-time table saw shopper here. I've spent hours researching and know how great a bargain this saw is, even at full price. The thing that's kept me from buying it already is the comments from almost everyone who owns one that it's extremely loud.

I wish this weren't the case, but I do need to consider sound (almost) as much as price and space, Is there anyone out here who could tell me whether this saw is significantly, slightly, or not at all louder than other similar small budget table saws? I'll give you reputation points, gratitude, etc. <3

I have a NIOSH app on my phone that measures decibel levels—granted it isn't perfectly accurate because it relies on the phone mic, but if I recall correctly, I measured mine in the 90 dB range, which definitely requires hearing protection.

I'll see if I can get a no load reading later.

Thanks! 90 dB is loud but not too bad. Google says it's like a gas lawnmower.

I just took a quick no load measurement with my phone about 1" from the blade crank and it hit 101 dB, which is in line with the chart here:

https://soundproofingguide.com/de...son-chart/

The 90dB reading I was remembering was probably taken a couple feet away

Which seller did you use? I found a few on aliexpress but some of the reviews with fake tracking numbers make me second guess if I go for it.

I also have this saw and agree 100% with these comments. Very good saw, especially in this price range. There are some YouTube videos for making a replacement throat plate. I was also able to get a dado throat plate for mine.

Bit lower at ContracotTool.com, $260.10 with free shipping (price shown after adding to cart).

But yeah, this thing is currently pretty much the top pick for a budget table saw. Just watch a YouTube video on setting up/calibrating a table saw if you've never done it before (stuff that should be checked with any new saw, just to make sure the angles and such are dead on).
Thanks! I just ordered one with code "SUMMER" and it brought it down to $250. There was no tax shipped to TX and shipping was free.

I ordered from aliexpress for $183 with a coupon from a seller which seem to be reputable but he started playing games that my address is incorrect blah-blah-blah. Just ordered here for $251 OTD. Aliexpress is just not worth it.
