Realizing this is 14" and some people NEED a 14", if you're flexible and 15.6" is OK, then the Walmart deal for the Vivobook S 15 is still good. Same price ($749) and nearly identical specs, except Vivobook includes a 3K OLED 120Hz screen. I know some people say ZenBook is "better build" but I have the Vivobook and it's sturdy and light and works great. Love the OLED 3K 120Hz screen and great specs for $749.

EDIT: As is noted in another post, the Vivobook is NOT touchscreen.

It depends on what you're doing and the screen brightness, but for general use this will easily last for all day usage and then into the next. The Core Ultra 155H is very competitive with power efficiency, and the 75WHr battery is above average.
Thanks! I actually ended up picking up a used like new

As someone who works in computer related field, the only laptops I buy are used or refurbished. There really isn't any risk. If anything is wrong with it from running it for the first 10 mins just return it. Otherwise you're still covered under manufacturer warranty. I've purchased several openbox laptops from Bestbuy and never had an issue and save hundreds of $ every time.
That's a fair perspective. I don't have the time or patience to go back and forth to BB if there is a problem, though.

I just got back from returning two of these that were 'open box excellent' and shipped to me. They came in oversized boxes with no packing material. No doubt the laptops got thrown around inside (grant it inside their sleeve containers, but still), and with one outer box ripped open and smashed. I just couldn't bring myself to keep them. I rebought them new in store.

I don't know yet. There were several reviews that mentioned it gets hot when using while charging, but that wasn't a deal breaker for any of the reviewers, apparently.

Purchased this on May 19. I've not opened the box as I've been waiting for a better deal (on this or another laptop). The return period ended on Jun 5. Hence, the chat agent could not give me a price match. He advised me to do a return-and-repurchase in store. Went to the nearest store yesterday afternoon and was able to get a $54.13 BB gift card.

Pretty good. Got warm and fan noise at first boot up. But no fan or warm from normal use. Gameing was amazing. Playing bloodstain max out at 60fps was great on integrated graphics. Thers it does get warm and fan on.

Geekbench I got scores higher than m2

How could you do a return-and-repurchase if you're past the return period? You're only supposed to get a PM when you are within your return period. Sounds like you got lucky...

really? i heard these intel arcs are comparable to the 780m, which is used on the ROG ally, legion go, and recent glut of gaming portables.. am i wrong? i was going to use it for very light gaming on the go (cant beat that 2.8lbs!)

EDIT: this is someone's review on the bestbuy website: "The laptop performs well for light gaming, handling most games smoothly at low settings and 1080p. I did have to drop it to 800p for some games and for others I was able to get to Medium settings without too many problems. Control performs particularly well in my testing and was around 60 FPS with medium settings at 1080p. I was able to play Call of Duty MW3 at 60 as well, and Starfield I targeted 30 and was able to achieve that. "

I think that bodes particularly well unless you step up to a dedicated GPU like a G14, but then that laptop is almost 4lbs? what would you recommend instead if you want a thin and light portable laptop that can do casual gaming?
Only comparable in benchmarks, but not on par in real life. Look at the MSI Claw, for example.
But yes, it can game.

I picked up an open box good from my local BB for $609. It was in pristine condition like new. Did all the tests and everything looked perfect. After sending the BB receipt to Asus support able to register the product and warranty shows till end of 4/25. Very happy with purchase.

Maybe a stupid question: for stores that show they have open box items in stock, can you go to the store and view the product beforehand to gauge its condition (i.e. do they have them on display)?

Yeah they do, if you order for pick up you can also view the device there before purchasing or after. If some how is not what u expected, just return it right there.

Store policies may be different, but I hadn't had much luck buying online and then going to the store and asking to inspect the PC before I completed the pickup process. Was told to complete the pick-up and then go over to an unused counter and check it out. If not satisfactory, return it.

May be depends on how busy they are. I went during off hours and the guy opened the box showed me everything and tested the power.
