That was the non-OLED model.

If you work long hours I would stay away from this one because of OLED burn in on static images for long periods of time. There's some issues with HDMIs not responding to signal when the PC is turned on. I would get the curves 1000r none OLED model otherwise though it's bulkier when compared to the OLED model.

Good to see that Samsung still can't fix this issue after 10 years. My TN 1k panel had issues detecting signal wake up. I want to want this, but their Refrigerators made me force myself to never buy another Samsung anything.

It's a really nice monitor when it works, and when you can push the fps. One of the most emersion experiences you can get with a monitor.

Although there are alot of issues.

VRR and Gsync are buggy and cause the screen to become unresponsive.

Display port has alot of issues. Make sure you get a good hdmi cable. (Most likely less than 6')

Only panel screen ratios for full screen are 32:9 or 16:9. Would be nice to have 21:9 for super demanding AAA titles.

It has 92% the pixels of a 4k monitor so it's hard to drive to 120+hz.

Tizen software is kind of a minus if you don't use the screen as a TV

The usb hub is all usb-c so it's not useful for plugging in your keyboard/mouse/mic

QA is all over the place, mine had the white screen of death after 80 hrs of use. I expect this happens more often than any burn in issues. Seems like the electronics running the panel are questionable at best.

I own this and wanted to agree with all sentiments above.
In Summary great if you get a good one.
PIA of you get a bad one.
Definitely NOT ideal for work. Buy the non OLED Odessy G9 for less $ or another non OLED brand for work.
For gaming it's amazing! But most 'recommend a 4080 ball park level GPU card to really get your money's worth.
Above all!! If you buy it, chat with a agent. And they typically can give more discount also ADD THE EXTENDED WARRANTY!!! It's a must of you plan to keep it longer than the factory warranty. If it dies after that and you didn't extended the warranty... We warned you !

Great looking screen, kind of finicky with cables longer than 3 feet, it's a bandwidth and quality of cable issue. Could happen with any 2k 49 inch 240hz monitor. I hate the menu on this, hard to configure settings on the fly. 16:9 mode would go black every 5 to 20 minutes for about 3 to 5 seconds while gaming. Everything worked fine in 32:9 though. Screen looks amazing though, gloss makes this monitor almost look 4k. I got the LG oled 240hz 34 inch instead, I prefer a more aggressive curve. You should watch some reviews before picking up. Overall this monitor Great spec wise but almost feels like a smart TV and sometimes it just doesn't function like a regular monitor. Sometimes switching inputs can be troublesome. Response time is excellent. Wish they had a 21:9 mode on this monitor. This monitor isn't for everyone and might be for you but it might not be. I recommend adjusting the gamma on this if you don't find it bright enough, you can do that through nvidia control panel.

After 3 weeks of ownership I started having issues with this model when using the displayport. I get random flickering almost as if I am opening small windows and closing them within a millisecond. I am also using a 4090 for graphics. I don't have this issue with my work laptop when connecting via HDMI. The return period is 14 or 15 days as well ... so I am stuck with samsung warranty department.

Its a large monitor which is awesome. However, I would not recommend given the issues I am experiencing and the cost. I would have expected perfection at these prices.
