Feel torn on the deal but wanted to check it out. Purchased a Lenovo Legion Slim (32gb RAM) through a deal you posted and wasn't happy with the battery life (OLED screen) at all even when keeping it in 60hz mode. Had to return it.
We'll see how this one goes. 2023 vs 2024 model and everyone seems to complain about the 2024 model.

The battery life on this is noticeably better than the newer OLED model. The thermals however are still somewhat questionable but compared to the latter, are better.

Nobara Linux works well on this if anybody is wondering. Basically just Fedora with everything needed to game included. Pretty much run the installer and you're up and running.

Great laptop all around. I have the RTX 3060 model , slightly different chassis design too. Overall I feel 14" is the goldilocks of gaming laptop sizes. Portable enough that you don't think twice about grabbing it and couch surfing on the couch, and big enough that you can actually game on the screen and not feel cramped. Full wattage RTX XX60 GPU i think is the mobile sweetspot for performance, thermals and price/performance balance.
Even if it's parked permanently hooked up to a monitor on the desk, the smaller frame is noticable vs. 15.6"+.
I did have a mobo issue with mine, but Asus warranty came through. Was out a laptop for about 3 weeks though.
Overall, would buy again. The newer chassis look great IMHO, much less gamerboi.
They should both perform about the same but I would get the AMD one linked under this deal as the CPU is faster and more efficient and the screen is QHD instead of FHD.

Damn I'm tempted to return my 2024 32GB 4070 that ran me $1500.
This is a solid deal for half. Thoughts ?
Basically similar laptop. Less RAM tho removable, no OLED and 1 gen older CPU. 4070m definitely not worth the large gap when RTX50 is coming.
I'm happy with my G14 (23). Too lazy to open it to upgrade RAM/SSD. Bought mine in January, open box. Got lucky and it was brand new. Packaging was sealed and no battery wear. Warranty wasn't registered either.
