Not a vet but I have a bunch of these drives. There was buggy firmware that caused these drives to fail prematurely in early 2023. Please make sure you have the latest firmware before you start using it. You can use Samsung Magician to check/update the firmware.

I would assume Samsung is shipping with the most up to date firmware but you never know.

Op copied his info from others from yesterday but missed some key info. One time use coupon. I got the 990 pro yesterday, but after thinking i should have done this instead. I heard you can cancel order and get coupon back, but not willing to risk it.
