Many photo/video editors will care about those aspects, especially lack of HDR and the mediocre contrast/black uniformity. I'm not saying it's a bad monitor, I'm just saying it has some drawbacks to be aware of.

It's just another Apple tax. "We screwed up on the engineering, so we're sticking you with overpriced monitors. Our bad. Pay up!"

Windows does fractional scaling without any issue I've seen. A handful of ancient programs just look small. I'm running 225% scaling here on a 13" 3840x1400 display in windows, and the text is delightfully sharp. I run a 4k 48" OLED display at 100%, and I just wish I had an 8k for more ppi.

So if you find that 27" and non-fractional scaling on apple is what you want, go for it. Just pay through the nose like you must.

I purchased an Apple Studio Display and this monitor is better than my old LG 32BN88U-B UltraFine Ergo 31.5". The brightness and color is beautiful. I know about the Apple tax but, no one has this class of monitor at this price point. If you have the money to buy it, get it! Life is short!
