FYI it looks like they are finally clarifying that the 4.0AH battery in the pack is the older bigger size one (DCB204). Previous frontpage deal appears to be shipped with either that old one or the newer compact 4.0AH battery (DCB240). I was lucky and got the compact one in the previous deal.

is the 6ah noticeably larger in size than the 5ah? size/price/performance wise I think 5ah xr is sweet spot. i personally use the 1.7ah powerstack

Doubt it if it will crap put in two years. As long as it's not a lemon it will last for a lot longer. Save your money IMO

Not sure where your information is coming from...it comes with the DCB240..... The item being sold is the DCB2460C, which contains the following: (1) DCB240 20v MAX 4 Ah battery, (1) DCB206 20v Mx 6 Ah battery and (1) DCB1104 4 amp charger. I just ordered this and that is exactly what I received. Production was from 2024. Not sure if something has changed but if in the market, I would go for it. If for some reason you got the older 4.0, you can always return it. Just my 2 cents Smilie

Don't these come with a 3-year warranty from DeWalt? What are you buying then? A warranty for years 4 and 5?

Ordered this late Saturday night just before the deal expired. It showed up today, it was the correct newer style 4ah dcb240, date code of mid 2024 for both batteries.

Exactly what I received, battery build dates and all. No kit bag though.

Not really important, but it was advertised as included. Wonder if HD support would provide a small partial refund for it being missing.

I have so many DeWalt bags and chargers from all these deals already, lol, I really don't care about the bag. But if you look up the kit itself, dcb2640c, it doesn't say anywhere that it has a bag, only Home Depot's description says that.

Pkg arrived. Scanned qr code and Dewalt shows item does not exist. It does not mean it isn't a legit item from Dewalt though. I don't know why they have a system to test for legit items but have so many not in the system. Both batteries arrive with very low charge, 1 bar. Nothing wrong, just noting.
6 ah battery is giving a hot/cold delay when I try to charge. The 4ah goes right to charging. Both batteries made in 2024. Stamped 2024 33-49 7-8
Did a little research on hot/cold delay. Battery just needed to be pushed harder to seat connectors. It's fine now. Others have had same issue. So really a non issue. I left it here instead of removing my "issue," others having it would know how to handle it.
