In-warranty failure rate on these has been so high, no surprise many used units are available.

Earlier Genius1's were rock solid, then apparently there was a run with bad component(s).

Only advice if trying one of these is, connect it and leave it. If it's bad, it may fail in time for FS replacement.

Not garbage and great price.

I meant more in the sense of Amazon reselling bad returns. I've gotten obviously broken items about 50% of the time from their used stuff.

Made hundreds of purchases from Amazon resale. less than 5% damage rate if you stick to items rated as like new or very good.
