I'm sure it's been mentioned and buried but extended warranty benefit goes away next month which sucks
Uhh yeah I have an Amex, this is not true lol
I'm sure citi fought hard in the bidding process to beat Amex to get the Costco account. Part of the terms were probably to offer better benefits for the customer....

how is citi able to give these benefits and amex couldnot
Because Citi is a bigger bank I would imagine than Amex.
Plus an article last year says the Costco management team were put off by the AMEX's Wall Street High Finance suits culture that didn't mesh with their.
I guess I've been getting lucky. I always got domestic rep from Amex and never with Citi unless something gets escalated. maybe it's just my luck then or maybe the particular card. I have Premier Rewards card from Amex. It does carry a hefty $200 annual fee.
Yep....Good life you have there Big Spender...on sd.net no less.
With regard to credit pulls and affect on scores, will the Amex account show as a closed account on a credit report? If so would it be setup so that closed account doesn't factor into a FICO score?
Jeez. Those benefits are really good. My guess is that they had to ratchet them up, because if you can use any Visa at Costco, no one would really be incentivized to sign up for the Citi Costco because everyone already has a Visa.
I really don't need another credit card, but I'm tempted by this. 4% gas is better than AmEx Blue Cash, 3% restaurants is better than Chase Sapphire. 2% Costco is better than 1% anything else.
Question - does the "eligible travel purchases worlwide" mean that this card doesn't have fees for international purchases? That would make this card straight baller.

I heard there is no credit pull with the switch. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

My citi forward currently still gives me 5x points for restaurants and Amazon.
edit: found it http://frequentmiler.b
This is a major bummer! I suppose I can use Costco Visa for dining out and Sallie Mae master card for Amazon purchases.
You think wrong: RIF it.

Will Citi pull a credit report?
No, Citi won't pull a credit report as part of the account transfer process.
