I just posted this deal because i didn't see this one. I have tried to correct it. This one just didn't show up in search until put in just right.

These phones are by far the best bang for your buck our there,imo.

I bought these last year at 98.xx on prime day, fantastic, the year before that I bought the HD 599 without the SE, and those are fantastic,

The year before THAT I bought the HD598's and the were fantastic for the price, just sub 100 dollars.

Each year on Prime Day they would cut the price near half. These exact phones were 179 last night.

In 2019 these headphones got a +25 figure at 129.

This deal will not last too long if it acts like any of those previous years, each time they were only up for a few hours.

Anyway, everybody's ears are different and these are great daily phones and the best at this price that I have ever heard. Not top shelf but they are knockouts in this deal.

Anyone know how these compares to the massdrop 6XX? Been eyeing those. I currently have 598SE. but the headrest is starting to break down the middle.

I have the 990 Pro's and for me these are much more comfortable over hours of listening. I haven't had the 990's on in over a year as my day to day ones end up being one of the HD598-HD599SE. My head is a bit larger, (for hats.) than what I think is normal. I don't know how much they are asking for the 990's.

Nice deal, got one.

Was tempted to use Amazon credit/gift card balance from the Prime Day promos, but I'd argue if you have an Amazon Chase Credit Card it is better to use it to add an extra year to the warranty (+ you still get 6% back) and save the Amazon promo/GC balance for items where an extended warranty wouldn't matter.

Picked this up last Prime Day at the same price and surprised myself how often I favored it over all my other wireless headsets. Great gateway drug.

The Drop 6xx are my best phones, so you can see I am not a high end type, just know what I like. The 6xx'x are better phones for more detail, i don't have the 598 SE, just the 598's, but all the 598/599 HP's I have used have a bit more base, these are very comfortable after 6 plus hours on my head, my drop 6xx'x are a little snug. Hope this helps.

Yes and no, good audiophile hp's for under $100 for the non audiophile.

Their sound signatureis completely different. The hd599 has a very prominent mid bass bump that would make it anything but neutral. The shp9500 is neutal and lacking bass mid or sub and has peaks in the treble that might bother you.

They are both good entry level audiophile hp's .

6xx is the 650. They're better, and will likely need an amp for the best sound.
