I have 18v tools from another brand, but I CHOSE 12v because 90% of the time I don't need all that torque and power. Instead I need it to be lighter weight and more compact so it can fit into smaller spaces like an engine bay or inside of cabinets etc.... I end up using my 12v Milwaukee fuel 90% of the time and if I run into an issue where I need more power then I'll walk out and grab my 18v tools that stay tucked into my milwaukee packout box.
If you don't have the kind of budget to buy 2 systems, then stay in the 18v system. It's better to have more power than you need for those times when you really do need it.
Can someone explain if there is some huge difference between one linked below and OP 12V? I see small RPM and link below has hammer vs no hammer in OP. Ends up being $130 after hack. Have to be overlooking something since almost $50 more. No idea what gen is so probably older gen2?
How the heck do you find all these deals?
I signed up at what I call the big 4 tool outlets and by the time I get the emails / alerts, they are always sold out.
Unless the kits are over 400 bucks, lol
I bought that M12 combo last Friday at the store. Any problem doing this hack, and then returning the other set unopened for a full refund? Or are they just going to give me $178 back?
