I should have just gotten the Milwaukee instead of the Ridgid from DTO because I'm still waiting for DTO to ship.

Many tools seem to be going up in price inflation has taken a toll in the tool world along with milk , eggs , gasoline , utilities etc. a few months ago this kit came out gen3 m12 fuel. Possibly a few months ago you got a gen 2 kit. The gen 2 kits are currently 115$ in store if you can find one still no hack! Great tools gen3 or gen2 . This m12 fuel combo retails 229$ 7-8 months of the year. , holiday time this year they were on sale 199 plus a hack was available.

I did this deal at the begining of the week. I had to return the set two times because the zipper on the bag was jammed and I couldn't open it to even see the tools. Set #3 still has a wonky zipper, but it does open. I don't know if this is a known issue with the contractor bags, or if it's an errant lot that was made.

This is Gen 3, right? I have Gen 2 and like them but I hear that Gen 3 is so much better. I don't do much with them as I'm more into automotive so I don't mind, and they're way more than up to the task of putting up shelves and building the occasional basic wood project. The driver's noisy as hell though. Neighbors will love that.

Every Milwaukee bag I've gotten with a kit has had that issue. I don't count the soft "case" as it's not really a bag. Just play with it and it'll eventually open. Maybe put some soap or a bit of heavy grease on it.

the same kit with the 45piece drill bit set and free gift after hack actually comes out to $141.9 after returning the battery. So that is even better than last month by $1 and you get a free bit set (worth about $25?)

Why is gen 3 much better? Honestly I also have 2 and it rocks. If it's better w 4, I'll think about the upgrade but my Buddy has the 3 and there's barely a difference
