Yes, you need to select the battery as free gift first, then in check out you can see the combo price is ~$142 and battery to be ~$57. You can search around to see how to use the home depot hack to return the battery and get refund for the ~$57. Note: you have to pay for the full price first then get a refund later.

Confusing on the QA in Home Depot page. Someone said this is Gen 3 and other saying it Gen 4. Can anyone confirm the real gen of this?

They don't make a gen 4 in the M12 line. It's only in the M18 that is gen 4, which released at the same time as these.

So this is a gen 3 set, the newest.
