FWIW you might want to try the hard drive recycling on this. It very clearly excludes easystore for redemption but I was able to have my local store override it and give and additional 10% off the 14 recently. Brought it down to 13$/tb

I just got a Seagate Exos 16 16TB enterprise 7200rpm drive from a seller on eBay.. factory recertified with **zero** hours on it… for $170. Was pleasantly surprised to see it in sealed anti static bag and no hours and no power on's.. didn't have to mess with shucking and got a stellar enterprise grade drive for $10.63 per TB

Yes. You can also pool multiple drives together using Windows Storage Spaces (up to 63 TB per drive in Windows 10) to keep everything consolidated.

You can find manufacturer refurbished 18tb drives for $198 too. I'm planning to go that route if Black Friday doesn't bring something close to that for a new drive.

I have Plex running on a dedicated server but do have one of these drives connected to my router directly that does have some Plex libraries on it. You just map a drive to it and add folders like you would any other library.

$15.5/TB

Pretty good. Might be able to beat this directly from WD this BF, sign up for their emails using a couple different ones (if you are going to buy a lot of HD's this BF) you'll get usually a 15% off coupon in a day or two.
Go into your paypal and go to the Deals page, WD usually has 11%-12% cash back via Honey (you need to setup honey and link emails...its all expalined in there).
Thats how i get high end (red pro's or golds) for well below $15/TB
I thought you couldn't buy Easystores from WD directly?

Those 15% coupons haven't ever worked for me on any of their sale priced items. It ends up taking off 15% off of the original price and ignoring the sale price so i'd say YMMV. If you had success, i'm curious how you were able to get the coupons working on sale items.

What happens when they get stolen? do they refund?
When I placed my order I had the option for 3 different delivery dates. I chose the one a few days into the weekday, as the other options no one would have been home at the apartment. Best Buy totally ignored this, and sent the package on the weekend. I have video proof that one of the Roady driver's stole the package and sent it to my credit card company, idiot didn't see a video camera outside the building, along with photos from the Roady tracking #s, clearly showing both Roady driver's did not even attempt to enter my apartment building. They just line the packages up against the outside of the building as "proof of delivery". The other guy, on the second order, he took a photo on the other side of the apartment complex, took his "proof of delivery" photo from that side.

I am not the only one with issues when Best Buy ships from a local store via courier Roady. Go on reddit, or even on the official Best Buy support forums, and you will see many complaints from all over the country when Roady couriers are used. Here is just one example: https://forums.bestbuy.com/t5/Bes...50#M116937

This is not even the first time this happened to me, I had the same thing happen about a year ago, different best buy location, they also sent a Roady hired gun who did the same thing. They refunded that one for me, and I got a call back from the local Best Buy apologizing, and even telling me they try not to use Roady, as they have had other issues recently.

In my case with the hard drives, on both orders they offered to do instore pickup for me, but they made a mistake, and did not put in a family member's name, and I am not at the location to pick the drives up. Both order's were stuck in limbo, and supposedly the could not change the pickup person name from my own to someone else. They said they would escalate the matter, I never heard back from them about it. I called back, and I cancelled the whole order, at this point having wasted enough time with this whole ordeal, only to find out that the "pick up" items were billed at zero dollars, and that was what bestbuy chose to refund ($0.00). I finally gave in and just filed 2 separate charge backs thru my credit card company who is now doing an investigation into the matter, has my building's video footage, and the tracking from Roady along with their uploaded "proof of delivery" photos.

That will probably be a legit Black Friday in store deal is my guess.
