I'm with you, I have all these except the light, nailer, and grinder but the deal is so good, and I'm trying to convince myself it would be nice to have some 2Ah batteries for lighter weight sometimes...,

It's not hackable. If you only need 4 or 5 of the 9 tools here, the other 4+2 hackable deal is better for you.

You can tell if something is hackable by looking at two things: 1. There usually has to be an option for “free gift with purchase.” 2. When you look at your cart, there should be two separate items; the kit and then the “free gift.” Both should show a dollar amount and a discount percentage. When you go to return either the kit or the free gift, that dollar amount is what you’ll be refunded.

When we hack these deals, do we get full value for the return on the tools we don't want? I only want the hammer drill, impact driver, reciprocating saw, batteries, charger, tool bags

No, you get prorated value of the returned item. I am not suggesting you do it, but if you are going to do it, its better to add the "most expensive" item as the free tool so you get the largest prorated value when you return it. I am sorry that you missed out on the 4+2 deal.

Tempting. My old 18V set is so old, but the darn thing is still working great with 3 batteries that are still top notch. I keep saying "one more year". This set has it all, very nice.

Ironically I have the same tool set as they're selling here minus the angle grinder. I wonder how much I paid a la carte via the cost of the set.
