Video card upgrade will pay off much more than a cpu upgrade.

You can just buy directly from AMD.com for the same price. This is the MSRP. Problem for me is taxes. Trying to avoid.

BTW, many are indicating on Reddit that a new tariff is going to be put in place that will increase the cost. I do not know if this is true or not but wanted to share.

Your 1070 would be a huge bottleneck and you'll barely see an improvement in FPS. 5600X and an RX6700 are an outstanding combo. Though personally right now I'd aim for a 6800 XT to make it worth the upgrade.

That depends on the software you're using. I was running a Ryzen 7 2700X with a 1070ti. Decided to get this over a new graphics card because my main game (Escape from Tarkov) is very CPU dependent and not very GPU dependent. Yes my 1070ti is bottle necking me now but not as much as the 2700X was.

Amd doesn't charge taxes?

I got this cpu few months back, performs about the same as my 12900k. Both have same 3080 gpu. Get around 170+ fps on Warzone

Imo this is the lowest these will drop and a great deal if you game on an AM4 board and don't want to make the total investment on a whole new build. The new x3d's drop in January so I reckon they'll stop manufacturing these so price's will stabilize.
