This is a pretty good deal if you are looking for a 5800X3D chip and are not within driving distance of a Microcenter for one of their combo deals. This also includes a free MSI motherboard which you may use or just sell as new.
Really amazing that this chip still fits AM4 if you want to extend your AM4 MB or DDR4 Ram for a few more years.

Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
So it's basically Newegg asking you to take out the trash this ultra basic b450 board. I mean. It will serve a purpose.
If you currently have a ryzen system like 2000 series or 3600 or something, you can stab your old cpu into this motherboard and sell it on marketplace or craigslist afterwords.
Or take those parts and build a cheap budget pc and sell it if your capable of doing that. A complete pc will sell better than just parts. Remember, RGB sells lol

For an extra 50 dollars to get the 7700X bundle, this shouldn't even be a consideration. The 5800X3D might be a little faster in some games, overall techpowerup says the 7700X is faster. The only thing you really gain from the X3D is the better 1% lows.
Plus its a sizeable step up in non-gaming tasks, and it has several years of additional support. You could easily sell your 7700X for the 9700X when that comes out later and not have to be stuck with an old AM4 system.
If you can get the 7700X for 350, I'm not considering the 5800X3D unless it was 250.

For gaming, AM4 tops out with DDR4 RAM and the Ryzen 7 5800X3D (which performs similarly to AM5's Ryzen 5 7600). On AM5, you have DDR5 and lots of room to upgrade the CPU over the following years. Plus the Ryzen 7 7700X matches the i9-13900K in gaming performance.
