input-only type c and no qc/pd makes this a pass for me
Devices makes 0 sense. I can only charge the battery with USBC but then charge my devices with USBA? Wtf
Seems decent but this type of device seems to assume that the wall chargers are USB-A, and that you'd then flip ends to charge a device (A connected to the battery pack and C to the device). Having one myself it makes thinking about which cable/charger to bring more complicated with chargers mostly C now. IMHO it's worth the simplification to just only have a single C-C cable, pack, and charger.

Thumbs up for the price though

Agree 100%. Great price for an Anker power pack but pass for complexity- I have others that power the device via USB-C this one falls a touch short. Should have added a couple bucks to the price and have usb-c go both ways and this would be a great buy

What is everyone's concern here!? Confused

It's the same damn cable you would use to charge the bank that you'd use to charge your phone anyway (unless iphone) so only one USB-A to USB-C cable!

Most wall chargers have USB-A port on them (including iPhone) so:
1. Wall charger USB-A > USB-C Power Bank
2. unplug wall charger and flip the cable
3. Power Bank USB-A > USB-C to Phone
Done!

Yes, C>C would be simpler but haven't seen USB-C to Lightning being commonly used to this makes it more versatile.

Doesn't work if you have a iPhone

agreed, but as someone who has a ton of micro usb devices around... i dont think ill be adopting wall packs that dont have usb-a ports anytime soon, so all i have are usba->usbc cables.

i certainly look forward to the day where all my stuff is charged by usb-c and can ditch all the extra junk and simplify things, but by the time that happens, this battery pack will be shot.

not really disagreeing with anything you said... its definitely a missing feature. just saying that there are a ton of people who will not be affected by that limitation.

For sure. I usually just use these devices for phone or tablet which are C. I could see watch charger or others being useful for it too that are Micro USB? I actually do use it to charge some Wi-Fi security cameras, which use micro USB now that I think of it.

For me, it's mostly that my most compact travel chargers use C plug so a C-C makes sense, but then I have to bring A cables just for the battery.

"Most wall chargers are USB-A"

Pretty much all Google phones have been USB-C chargers for several years, Samsung only ships a C-C cable, and iPhones only come with C-Lightning for several years now too.

Like I said, it's not a huge deal but C output would have been quite a bit more convenient IMO.

It make sense due to its pricing. If you want USB-C with PD then you have to spend more.

So you can charge the bank with usb C, but you can also output from USB C or USB A?
