Found a satisfactory open box for $823, but based on quality concerns about this model I think it's a hard pass. Good price tho for a pretty capable machine!

The cooling in these is extremely good for a 14", but you do lose some efficiency vs a Ryzen 7000/Radeon 7000 laptop.

Linux support is also good, for anyone interested.

Rode hard and put up wet. In all seriousness, it's extremely YMMV. I've tried a handful of open-box excellent that had anywhere from horrible backlight bleed to dirt and hair stuck under the keys. You're in deep unknown condition territory with an open-box fair

What's really cool about these laptops is that using all AMD allowed them do some flexible things with power.

Like if you plug into a 65w USB-C PD, it'll do what it can to Power Flex and use the most it can get for that power budget so that it scales pretty well. With Intel + Nvidia or AMD + Nvidia, it just doesn't work and fall on it's face.
This is really useful if you're on a plane or RV or some other power limited situation where you can't plug in a 200 something PSU in.

785 is a good deal for this machine (assuming you get one in good condition).
What sucks is: a couple of months ago the version with RX6800 S was around 840 for open box excellent.

I got an open box fair. If it's busted I'll just return it but I've been kicking around getting something for portability and this isn't a huge investment.
