Word of caution. My company deployed about 15 of these and they all had weird docking issues. We ended up having to replace them early.
They just released a BIOS update that really messed up my Gen 1 Nano and I returned it. FYI- These are still pretty buggy. Even with the pin restart the power button flashes and the computer will not shut down. In addition, I was forced to do the bios update since the battery was not charging with the recent Windows updates. It's a good deal although just be aware that these are going through some software hurdles.
You forgot to include the link to a 2-pound laptop with RAM slots at this price.

AMD 7 Pro of this was $600 recently, I would wait for something with AMD
What's the AMD equivalent version of this laptop? I would prefer an AMD CPU versus Intel for the longer battery life.

It's just AMD 5 but honestly I don't even follow the Intel processors anymore it's really out of hand with their rediculous numbering. I hope someone else can help you.

Apologies if I am mistaken of the weight of Gen 1 vs Gen 2. However, I doubt if anyone can tell the difference between 0.15 pounds. I think most people would agree they are both very very light for a laptop. Nonetheless, I think 2.14 lbs in a 14 inch laptop is more impressive than a 1.99 lbs 13" laptop.
So should i get the gen 1 or gen 2??

If you can get Gen 2 then get that.

I'm seriously considering picking up the touchscreen version of this laptop for $630. Seems like a great price for an ultra portable. The CPU is a little dated but I'm not too concern with it.

I would prefer an AMD version versus Intel, but not sure of the price/model number.

This will be for my 10th grade highschool daughter who already has a macbook M2, but needs a new Windows laptop for VMware/x86 (cyberpatriots). She has an older beat up 15.6" HP Ryzen laptop with crack screen and broken wifi. She's looking for something more portable.

Someone convince me to buy or not please.

It's Thunderbolt. So a USB-C connector that is compatible with USB-C but capable of much more.

The port is USB-C and one of the protocols is Thunderbolt.
