Nonsense. Normal people who just use a computer don't backup data but anyone needing 18tbs knows how things work.

I would get this personally. While I don't subscribe to Seagate all being garbage, these WD that I've gotten have all been Helioseal drives (based on HGST designs) and have been cool, quiet, and fast. The initial ones were PWDIS which meant you had to tape the pin, cut it, or use an adapter, but the latest ones haven't been PWDIS so no issues.

What part of NO was complicated for ya? No it's not a ZIP purchase, I already clearly stated this in an earlier reply. The only thing ZIP about this deal is the first 3 letters in the code!

False information. I went all the way to checkout and the promo gets removed with all payment options except Zip. Stop wasting people's time SD noob. Post a screenshot where the payment was not Zip and the promo/discount applied to the order.

How long can this be kept in power off state. Lets say I backup my data today and power it off for a year would the data retrieval post a year of power down be reliable?
