It can handle up to a 5/8" dado blade.
Decent table saw deals have been super hard to come by recently, and I haven't seen this saw go below $298, myself. Also - but who knows if it was a blip - when I was ready to get one of these back in the summer, it was frequently OOS at the big box stores and Amazon.

Another key point for me was the legs included. Making a workbench/outfeed table that I'll just mount it on now but has been super handy so far.

As for this vs. the DeWalt? Really depends on if you'll use it for dados and need the greater depth of cut offered by the 10" vs 8.75" blade. If you can get this from Menards for $248AR and will/can shop in their physical stores, I think this saw is a no brainer in that case and wouldn't hesitate to buy it over the DeWalt.

I'm mostly a weekend warrior, DIY type guy. I sometimes take on rather big projects though, but I'd still only be spinning this thing up a few times a year. I can't justify the cost of the 10" Dewalt setup over $500, so I keep coming back to this saw. I have used the 8-1/4" Dewalt setup once a friend let me borrow and I have to say it was silky smooth and I really liked using it. The idea of this saw with the larger capacity and possibility to Dado if I ever need it though is nice, and again the built in legs seem like such a smart implementation.
Any tips on that replacement throat plate building, and what blade are you running in yours?
No Menards around so I'd be ordering at the $277 price point. I wish this was $199 somehow, but that's wishful thinking but I bet it eventually gets to that on sale. Do I bite the bullet and just buy it? Seems like feedback around the web and from you both say the saw is well worthy, and fine if I get this over the Dewalt. I think I'm pulling the trigger on this...
This table saw definitely punches well above its weight class. Rack and pinion fence is awesome.
My only complaint with mine is that the fence isn't perfectly plum/square to the table surface.
This saw is pretty nice. The rail design is very good. I only need to do some minor adjustment with the miter gauge. The plastic throat plate is my only complaint but it seems they may be replacing that. I got mine 2 months ago and it is still with the plastic plate.
I ordered the dado throat plate (also plastic) and used a 5/8" dado stack in it and that works very well. The space in the blade chamber is very tight that some 10" blade may not fit. I am using the Dewalt 10" blades and they fit well, while the cheap one from Harbor Freight is a tough too large. The dust collecting works well and you can simply point the hose adapter downward pointing at a bucket without using a vacuum system particular with a dado blade.
