    Can I stick this in my iMac and leave it plugged in forever for additional storage, or its not advised?

    My iMac is basic so it only has 256gigs, looking to expand it a bit, and I have 2 USB-C slots, looking for something small that fits and I can leave it plugged in forever.

    flash ram ddr has been in freefall for a while now in pricing, it will likely go back up after the new year, but til then where bottom is nobody can say for sure
    system ram ddr5 is affordable right now as well might wanna stock up before they go back or do you hold and wait?

    This threw me off early on when I was confused, too.

    So just consider USB-C as a the port shape (will it plug into the port I need it to) then read the specs of the USB-C cable or device to see if the specs suit your needs.

    I have this drive and I hate it. Just because the mechanism that allows it to go usb-c or usb3 makes it want to retract when you try to insert it. Everything else works fine and YMMV.
