In addition the reviewer in that notebookcheck blog said that the Legion slim 5 should have had an Intel AX211 chip instead of the Mediatek 7922. What he doesn't know that the AMD processors cannot use the Intel AX211 or Intel AX411 wifi 6E cards because AMD processors cannot make use of the CNVio2 protocol and any wifi card ending in a "1" only supports the CNVio2 protocol. If the model number ends in a "0" then it has the full functionality of wifi/BT on the wifi card. The best you can do is install an Intel AX210 card since the AX210 card consists of all the wifi and BT components on the wifi card.
I pulled the trigger. I have been watching since early November. Sick of waiting. Anyone in the same boat should wait a few more days. It never fails once I buy something, a MUCH better deal will appear VERY soon.

Seems like pretty good deal considering its $100 more than the costco/microcenter deal with newer processor, faster ram, better ports, better battery life on paper

I think the Costco / MC models have 1 TB SSD and a better screen.
Reviews on notebook check say the GPU on this model is badly throttled resulting in performance in line with a 4050. Advertised at full power however in testing it was showing a wattage of 60. It was supposed to be fixed on later models but be aware this issue could be present.

I have this exact laptop purchased from Best Buy about 4 months ago and I can confirm that it does not have the throttling issue exhibited in the Notebookcheck review.

So this is probably going to replace the Ggiabyte laptop I got for around $650 almost $700 after ram upgrade thats still sitting unopened from best buy as an open box deal.
I just double checked your claim and that notebook check article got debunked as the dude having a faulty unit. You can see that claim in the comments of many owners saying they are able to surpass the 60 TDP and even over 100 TDP watt limit. Also a very good professional reviewer contacted Lenovo directly and they confirmed that the notebook check reviewer must have got a faulty unit.
That all being said in for an open box of this, better screen, more ram, better cpu, better gpu, overall I think its worth the extra $100-150ish after tax.
