This doesn't look like that good of a deal. The 7640s is a current gen zen4 cpu, which is good, but having only 6 cores is unacceptable for a $900 laptop imo. All the other specs are quite nice overall, but laptops with only slightly worse specs and a substantially better (8-core) cpu have gone on sale for $800. As a side note, the full wattage (140w) rtx 4060 in this laptop performs essentially identically to a 100w 4060 in gaming: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMMrh6PpLI4
I could maybe see an argument being made for this laptop at $850, for those willing to pay a (very) substantial premium for the legion chassis, but the value proposition just isn't there at $900.

Here's the spec sheet of the laptop in this deal for anyone interested: https://psref.lenovo.com/Detail/L...82Y9000QUS

And here's an example of a laptop with slightly worse all around specs and a much better cpu at $800 in a previous deal (the deal linked below was originally $800, but it got changed to $850 after a full day): https://slickdeals.net/f/17396106-dell-g15-laptop-15-6-1080p-165hz-ryzen-7-7840hs-rtx-4060-16gb-ram-512gb-ssd-850-free-shipping

6 cores is sufficient really. I've been on 5600x/5600x3d in the last few years and all of the specs are pretty good here.

Has a second m.2 slot based on reviews for another SSD when you run out of space.

"sufficient" isn't really a compliment.

have you ever been on a date and been told "you were sufficient" ... sufficient isn't a good thing. you wanna be GREAT. ok. come on.. let's higher our standards.
