Literally half the cache of the 5600, but if you're on a really tight budget this is still a very competent CPU for 1080p

What are some lower end discrete GPUs people are finding to pair with these that at least out perform 5700g? Or is it wishful thinking you can beat the 8700g with a lower end GPU? Anything better for the money than an rx 580?

I picked up a 5600 for $100 used on EBay for this very reason - very pleased with performance, I'm ordering an AK260 CPU cooler for the potential to overlock and will plan to run with it for another 4-5 years.

Hardware unboxed has a video comparison. In one section they compared it to an i3 12100 with a 6600, that pair being about the same price as the 8700g. The i3 generally beat the apu by 50-100%+ on frame rate.

for the cpu gaming experts
MSI B350 Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard has the EZDEBUG CPU LED red
I have a Ryzen 7 3700X CPU
Is the EZDEBUG a reliable indication the CPU is bad or is there a chance is some other issue?
Thanks for any reply ...I might have to buy this CPU

Note that this is literally a 5600g with the graphics disable so it shares all the same limitations as the 5600g. Most notably half the cache and slower PCI-E speeds.

Not really, the refurbished RX 580s (previous mining cards etc.) are super cheap. You could consider a Radeon 5700 (non XT) for about $40 more.
