Utilizing both my Plum benefits workplace discount in addition to a code I received in an email from Samsung, I was able to get this monitor for 896.39 + tax. I verified that the code I received was a one-time use, so you'll either have to use your own emailed code or attempt to speak with Samsung Customer Service to get a code.
The email I received from Samsung had the following subject:

Update to add that the email was received on Feb 13th

I did get a free 2 year warranty or installation offer on the TV, for whatever that is worth. That was my 3rd OLED TV and I have never had any issues with them, but I guess it was better than nothing.
But good luck. I think these prices we are seeing are clearance combined with a sale. Also, the initial reviews were rough, but I believe some firmware updates fixed most of those problems. However, once a new model comes out, they don't seem to reduce the old model as much as they do beforehand. Once the new model of a phone comes out, the sales on the old phone don't seem nearly as good. Or for monitors, the CRG9 price always seemed very high to me for a tv monitor that came out 5 years ago and isn't nearly as nice as the Odyssey Neo G9 that was released 2 years ago.
Anyway, just my $0.02, but around $895 for a monitor that was $1800 about 9 months ago is a VERY steep discount and a slickdeal, especially for a 49 inch OLED monitor.
But good luck. If they come down to $699, I will pick up a 2nd one myself and have double 49" monitors.

With that being said, other than burn-in, is MiniLED's text clarity superior to OLED?
So,you will get a kick out of this. I don't game much but right now I am using a 48 inch LG OLED from Bestbuy with their Burn In protection warranty since it was only about $99. I also ordered the 49 Inch that this thread is about without a warranty since it doesn't protect from burn in and is very expensive.
I plan on using both and the LG will have the more static items on it. But I am at the point where I think these OLED's have enough protection on them to help mitigate any burn in as long as your aren't stupid about leaving the same thing up for half a day without putting something else up, such as a full screen youtube video or something, for a few minutes.
If you have the disposable income, get the OLED without even thinking about it. If $900 every 2-3 years will break the bank, then I would go for a 4k 32 inch display with USB C input/charging/etc.
One caveat, while I am willing to take a chance on a $900 display only lasting 2-3 years before some burn in, I probably wouldn't have if it was closer to the $1800 list price. But 10 years and 3 promotions ago, the $900 screen would have been a bigger issue for me. (though I didn't have kids back then, so maybe not?)
