Samsung 990 Pro 2TB $119.99 @ Staples in store YMMV

This might be a YMMV, but I just bought a Samsung 990 Pro 2TB at my local Staples for $120. That's pretty good for a super-quick nvme drive these days. I don't see anything about it on their site, so you'll probably need to go in and check in person.

QA Note: Availability and maybe price will vary by location. If OOS for you or a higher price in store, try another store if you can.

Rookie mistake. You NEVER call ahead.

That's how you get employees setting stock aside for themselves.

Never had the issue your talking about and you have to physically have them scan the price at some locations so they're gonna find out. I was straight up about it and they held it at the counter for me

The general rule here is "never call". In this case though, the price isn't so ridiculously cheap that employees would be buying them to use or make a profit. It does happen though. Let's face it, any of us here would stash hot deals if we had first access to them.

Just purchased from local store. FYI - shelf tag was $119 sale price as posted by OP but rang up as $249 regular price. They tried multiple scans & manual typing SKU… all showed regular price. They verified the shelf tag (printed on 3/11 & expires 4/6)… they honored the price. Might be pricing mistake they corrected in system but stores weren't told? This was my experience in Nor Cal.

Confirmed it was 119.99 in store NPB FL.

Like others said, Manager has to manually put it in, but the display should have the 119.99 price. Got one, thanks OP.

Snagged one at the 119 plus a 500gb HP for 14.99 at the Staples in Royersford PA. The store has one left. Manager had to override the price - sale price was marked on the shelf.

I was really looking for the 500G M.2 HP EX900 for $15. A week ago a Dallas showed a couple at Rockwall TX. I was meeting a friend nearby, so I stopped by, but they were gone. I did pick up a 500G S700 for $15.99, just to have a small spare, since I have an external case, and a spare secondary 2.5" slot in my laptop.

I do want a external 2T backup, and plan on buying an M.2 drive, and enclosure, just for flexibilty. They had this drive with a sale ticket showing $119.99 until 4/27. They checked stock, and pulled one for me, but they did not check the price, since I left it. I am sure they would have sold it at the price, since the drive above rang up $19.99, but they adjusted to the $15.99 tag price without question.

What do you use to check in-store stock?

I went ot my closest Staples, far North Dallas, a week or so ago. I asked an associate who checked the system for the HP EX900 drive. There were a few stores that showed 1, and Rockwall showed 2. The associate stated it was unlikely that the store showing 1 really had stock. Rockwall was too far to chase the item, but I do go to meet a friend every few weeks. Today, the guy at the Rockwall store stated no local stores had any stock. I never call the store, so this is the only way I know how to check.

Besides the drive in the OP, and the drive I bought, the Rockwall store did have stock of the 1T HP EX900 for $59.99.
