If you've never used a 32 before, I do recommend measuring out how big a 32 inch would look like on your desk.

It should be fine if you only have 1 monitor. For me, the 32 is too wide, and it forces my side monitors way too far to the side.

Depends on your setup, but just the heads up you should do a quick visualization
Thank you...and that's a good point that I wouldn't have thought about! The 32" would be a single monitor in my "secondary location" :-)

I'm hesitant because of it only being 60hz. For office work and personal browsing or possibly watching movies, should I avoid this because of the low hz??

I want the text to look good and assumed I'd want 100hz+ for that??

Refresh rate has nothing to do with text clarity. For crispier text go for higher resolution like this and scale the UI

text clarity would look the same at 30hz or 1000000000000000000000000000000000hz ............ resolution is what is important for text clarity

60hz isn't even low... lmfao... you realize movies are shot at 24fps...

only part that would matter is if you're scrolling quickly and want to read while scrolling.
your mouse would look sharp.

otherwise no improvement. especially for movies.

it's not low hz at all.
It's standard. It's what 99% of all monitors are.

Even if you buy a 144hz monitor, it won't display at 144hz unless you have a decent graphics card, the right cable connection, and you change your settings to display at 144hz.

It's pretty likely that you don't currently own a computer/laptop that can display at 144hz.

Someone was on here harping that these don't work with macOS . All I can say is it works perfectly with my Mac mini m2 in all aspects. Just perfect.

I'm a developer and use 27" QHD monitors, which is fine for my older eyes. I'm curious what that would be like to use something like Visual Studio on a 4K 27" monitor, even with 125/150% font scaling. Too small icons, text, etc.? Does the scaling defeat the purpose of having 4K? I won't be using this for gaming, pictures, movies, etc. Strictly office stuff.

Any other developers with real-world experience that can give their opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I have this exact monitor running in landscape. It's pretty wonderful, actually. I run it at 30% brightness with a custom dark theme that I've spent really just a stupid amount of time getting to my liking. I love it, though. I'd recommend it for development, no doubt. I'm surely not a monitor expert, but I am very happy with this one. No dead pixels or any weirdness. I bought mine open box local for $100, so it's real easy to like in that regard.

I will say, though, it's bright. BRIGHT. Definitely take some time to tune the brightness otherwise long days glaring into it will do bad things for your eyes.
