$206.99 from Dell if you add a small filler item (try this from a deal posted yesterday: https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/cty/apd/231x7?param=value&gclid=CL3utvrGkoUDFV0IiAkdn9oMpA&gclsrc=ds... [dell.com]

Thanks for this info. After reading your comments and the others, I think 32 4K with 150% scaling might be the better option for me and my eyes. I might erven go fancy and get a 32" curved 4K :-)
Yeah I even have a bit better than 20/20 near vision and text on this display looks microscopic at 100% scaling at 2 ft which is distance I sit from it. So I actually prefer to read text on my much larger 43" 4K which I have next to it cuz at same 2ft distance even with 100% scaling text is easily readable from same 2ft away distance.

Anyways, got it for $250 over year ago and definitely worth it IMO if u want cheap decent 4k display.
I mean out of box only IPS display that doesn't crush shadows, text is clear and 2nd best when it comes to gradients and gray tones after my $1000 NEC PA IPS display!
Tom's Hardware review from few years ago confirms what I have found with mine i.e. good grayscale error and color error if u care about that which I do nod
"The Dell posted a 2.65dE color error, again suggesting no visible errors in the sRGB space." [tomshardware.com]

It may have just been luck, but the monitor came without any dead pixel.
I know we've kind of highjacked this comment section for another monitor, but I took a chance a ordered a the 28" Acer B287K and got one with no dead pixels. While the screen is not perfectly uniform, it is quite acceptable and better than the Dell S2721QS monitors I've seen, which are known to have shadows along the right and left side of the screen. I've ordered and returned 4 monitors. I work in Quality Assurance for a living, so I can find a problem with anything. The Acre B287K had the least issues out of all monitors I tried, and it was the cheapest at $200. It has very good color and has a fully adjustable stand. The 28" size is perfect. I am very happy with my purchase, the monitor was a great deal. Thank you for your advice on it, @Luck2Luck!

This is an edge lit display which is why edges are always gonna be brighter so normal for getting cheaper, thinner less power hungry display.

Are there any larger Ultrasharp monitors in a 16:10 aspect ratio? I have four 24" Dells, U2412M and U2415's, and would probably benefit from something larger. I'm finding that my eyesight isn't getting better with age, which is confusing given that everything else is ballin' as I get older.

Got it yesterday. On computer the UHD4K resolution was nice until playing game like roblox. It was lagging. Changed the resolution to 1440 and it worked. I don't have high end graphic card. I got it so that I can also connect 2nd HDMI to XBOX. It works great.

Just to add to Feisty's observation, I got the Acer also and its pretty good. color/brightness out of the box was pretty bad (I do have it sitting next to my Dell 32 inch gaming monitor, which was 3x the cost), but once I tweaked the display and got it out of eco mode I've been very happy with it. brightness is uniform and sharpness is good - a great deal @200 bucks!

Does anyone happen to have a screenshot of this monitor at the lower price, even at $229? Trying to get a price adjustment from $299

Isn't resolution a bit too small with 27'?
