I bought this last year. it's a weird dishwasher, my 10yr old one was better.
Seems made for plates, bowls don't fit right.
And the washer is finicky, you have to be careful to not block certain areas.
Doesn't clean as well as my old one either which is crazy. But it is quiet, can't tell its running unless right next to it.
Regret my purchase.
Inflation sucks, I bought a 800 series for $599 pre-pandemic
Seems hard to believe a ten year old model is better than this very highly rated model. I have this dishwasher and it's excellent.

Almost didn't try this because I thought it had to be in stock but that wasn't the case. I just talked to the person in the appliance area and they placed an order for me. Price in their system was $750 and delivery is $29.
Hmm, did they record the serial number? If you can't get an adjustment, maybe you buy now and return off the old receipt?
I got the price adjustment and will apply for the rebate too. Chase also gave me $54 back with a web only Home Depot chase reward. I originally ordered it by phone through the appliance desk, so maybe that's why the web only reward processed.
I had high expectations based on reviews, but the interior space is odd, and I could never get my dishes to completely dry. The only advice I could get was that I was either stacking dishes wrong or not using a specific formula of detergents. Completely felt like "they don't make them like they used to".
I was able to return mine within the return period and I spent a hundred more on KitchenAid. Day and night difference.
FWIW I replaced a Kitchenaid that died <2 years with the 500 and couldn't be happier. I had several problems with new KA appliances and bought the 500 for $1100 despite the option to replace the KA for $500 because I lost all faith in the brand.
I love that there's no hearing element for drying. Plastic dishes don't dry as well for sure but no worry about melting.
I loved it personally. Never had a single issue with it. Dishes were always spotless. It had some extra drying features I never used because I didn't want to use the extra energy consumption when I mostly just cared about clean dishes.
I've had this dishwasher for about eight months. At first it didn't dry amazingly well, but I added rinse aid and now it dries incredibly. It's very quiet in my small house and I fit all my stuff in it fine. Other than the rinse aid, no complaints but tbh I could have lived without it.
There are voluntary energy star ratings for dishwashers, which I think may be tied to certain cycles. The EPA did not change requirements AFAIK. As for the toilets, you clearly have some issues.
When I used to be in an office, I worked in a building that won tons of green awards. EVERYONE had to flush those stupid toilets multiple times. Funny thing was, with so little water being used they had to rely on serious pressure and your backside would always get doused. We had water free urinals (never a good idea), the automatic faucets would do that thing where they turn on for half a second, like anyone in the history of indoor plumbing would ever want or need half a second of water. The automatic soap dispensers wouldn't let you rinse your hands, they would keep shooting more soap onto them. It was all, sadly, quite comical. Sorry, you struck a nerve there LOL
I bought this a couple months ago for similar price. I gotta say, I don't like it. Yes it's quiet, as I expect most new mid-high tier models are, but the touch controls are really bad. Some options are only accessible via wifi. If you want to change cycle options, like sanitize, auto air (auto opens the door after finishing), it won't always let you, and the only fix is to power cycle the machine which feels like a 30 sec wait. It's built really nice overall and I bought it for its reliability … but man, if I had guests or for anyone who had an airbnb, you need a 10 page user manual to figure out the options. I also agree the racks are not set up for what I consider are typical 'American' dishware
Example, you want to access 'options' on the panel? Well, you better have the manual nearby, which will tell you to press 'option A' of course there is no 'option A' on the panel, so you have to go to another page in the manual to find out that that button is really holding down 'quick 60' for 3 seconds. Now you're in option mode and nothing is straightforward without the manual. Connect to wifi to access more options… WHY!? I have 75 smart home devices. My dishwasher doesn't need to be one of them, at least not at the expense of useable panel controls
For all those saying their old dishwasher cleans better than a new Bosch (or other brand), yea, I bet it does. Aren't the Environmental (EPA?) requirements such that the amount of water a dishwasher can use is less than even 5 years ago. So we are using less water, but the wash cycles times are increasing (using more electricity -how is that environmentally friendly?), and the end result is a crappier wash cycle. Just like our toilets - Less water used, but we get to flush multiple times instead. Ahh, "progress."
Pain is a front-flushing toilet but the party is in the back
The weirdest thing though is my new Samsung dryer dries much better w/eco-mode "on" than "off". Drastically better. It's the difference between a quick hot flash and a steady dry.
SO, eco-mode stays "on", even if that means it takes a tad bit longer. My Bosch 300 series I inherited is the same where if I do a quick wash it's awful, but letting it run on normal is fine. Counterpoint: it's over 2 hours to run that load, which can be a long time if you're seeking clean dishes in 30 mins like back in the day.
I don't have this particular model but installed a Bosch dishwasher probably 4-5 years back.. It's been absolutely fantastic and darn near quiet where my kids would open the dishwasher not knowing it was running.. My dishwasher throws a red light on the ground to indicate that it's on but most of the time the kids ignore it.
Now if you live in an area where you water is very hard then I suggest you get a dishwasher that has a softener capability. I knew from the get-go I wanted a dishwasher where you add dishwasher salt to get the water to soften up a bit.. It makes a world of difference and your dishes come out super clean.
Yes, my Bosch has a built in water softener where I have to add dishwasher salt every 4-6 months. I purchased it at Lowe's at the time.

I did... I also put it in a cabinet without any pipes for that extra piece of mind.
