That is 57% more money. Quite a substantial increase, if the G502 meets your needs. That being said, the Deathadder is clearly a step up.
G502 has infinite wheel mode (must have for some like me), plus some other features much more expensive Dv3 doesn't have.

To me it's not worth it, all of my Logitech mice have developed the double click issues on multiple buttons. Logtitech cheaped out and their customer service isn't helpful nor do they stand behind their products. A lot of pro gamers are moving away from the entire Logtitech ecosphere.
Yeah, at some point Logitech switched from JP Omron switches to CN. Naturally, Chinesium doesn't hold up. I've replaced all the switches in my newer Logitech mice with JP ones over time. The JP switches are going on non-stop use for years with 0 issues. They also have a much nicer click

For 20 more dollars you can get the Deathadder V3 wired on amazon with all the updated specs that ergonomic gaming wired mice have in 2024 (8k polling, optical switches, ptfe feet etc.)
Just ordered this because decided a wired gaming mouse with all the extra side buttons would be better than:

I currently use wireless G602 but the slight lag from the wireless connection, for whatever reason, throws me off. The extra side buttons I use for PUBG mostly and would like at least 4 side buttons to 1)toggle firing mode 2) extend mini map 3)open/close big fullscreen map 4) misc/comm wheel

I also have the Deathadder V2 that was a from a Costco Gift bundle and it's still basically brand new. I use it now and then but the shape is not best for me although I like the smoothness, responsiveness, and the lightweight of the mouse. The Deathadder only has 2 side buttons which puts me at a disadvantage when gaming.

I have two of the wired ones and one wireless. I'm super pleased with this mouse, I had used the MX500 for 15 or so years and when I needed a new one I switched to this for reasons I don't recall. Felt right at home.

Sufficient buttons for all my Fortnite builds. My only complaint is probably just a me thing - it is very easy to bump the DPI buttons accidentally. It is also easy, if startled in-game, to bump the button that unlocks the scroll wheel.

Speaking of the scroll wheel, that is a really cool feature. It goes from "clicking" through incremental amounts like a normal scroll wheel to completely free spinning (like the price is right). Imagine the hilarity if you set the scroll wheel to your fire button in game. Or how fast you can get through a long document.
what I did was disable the buttons and also set my mouse such that it only has the default DPI as a yellow "preset" (also a former mx500 user, love both -- big meaty mice)

Have this mouse since 2019 (and its predecessor the regular G502 as backup) - play a bunch of games with it and it refuses to die so I can't buy new one <.<

Also, logitech pretty much owns me with infinite scroll, I literally can't buy another brand due to this one single feature sadly. Now just hope they make better Ghub because that is garbage

Like others have mentioned no other mice have a comparable scroll wheel. I also like the smaller size and place to rest my thumb. Very easy to swap between PCs.

Cons are that it's hard to get dust or other stuff out of the multiple areas it builds up more so than other mice. It can also be a bit heavy even without the extra weights they provide. The newer version also doesn't have the braided cord the original G502 had.

dont buy this if you plan on using the changeable dpi through the mouse buttons. Theyre very easy to click while playing. The software isnt the most reliable either. other than that mouse is good. wish it have a few more programmable buttons

I have had wireless Logitech Keyboard mouse combos and a G300s gaming mouse. They all had either problems after usage. The G300s was lagging, it played fine for about half a year then just died. I used it maybe 1-2hrs max per day gamging if that. The Keyboard mouse combos had problems with keyboard starting to fail after a few years, not bad if it's for productivity but for gaming forget it.

Bad clone of the corsair m65. Not terrible all together just not as good imo when compared. Build and feel aren't the same.

the mouse sometimes gets these issues. But the customer service is totally the BEST. They've replaced my mouse with bare minimum questions, 3 times over 2yrs as G502 has 2yrs warranty.

This one from amazon only shows 1 year warranty?

DigiKey (www . digikey . com) is a great source. The two main models I've worked with are D2F-01 (150g actuating force) and D2F-01F (75g actuating force)
https://www.digikey.com/en/produc...F-01/83260
https://www.digikey.com/en/produc...-01F/83266

This looks like a decent guide (and possibly what I used originally) to do it:
https://www. reddit. com/r/MouseReview/comments/aksjr6/g502_switch_replacement_guide_highres/

Follow the links from there to figure out more info. Can't recall a 100% what my daily driver is, but I believe my favorite is the D2F-01 (150g) for a very nice strong tactile feel. For reference, stock was 60g, iirc. So do 75g if you want a more stock-like feel, but for me the 150 feels great.

It's a little tricky, working with such small solder, at least it was for me, having only basic tools from RadioShack from way back when. I think I did end up cooking one of the circuit boards before figuring it out. However, the payoff was very nice to me: a far better feeling mouse.
