Any thoughts on how this would do for a Plex server?
Plex does not officially support AMD cards for hardware transcoding although it may work. In my opinion you're better off with an Intel ARC which have been down to 100 or an 8th+ gen Intel CPU for quickqync. Personally have been eyeing the numerous n100 based mini PCs for a Plex server upgrade.
I literally have no idea why anyone would buy this at this price point over an Intel Arc A380. Less VRAM, half the VRAM bandwidth, worse rendering performance, slower video encoding/decoding, less video codecs supported, no OpenGL 4.6 support, worse Vulkan support, worse DirectX 12 support. There literally isn't a single redeeming quality.

My home lab is on older hardware that doesnt support rebar. I found some posts on github how to enable it but was way over my head. Ill probably be returning my a380 unless someone can figure this out for me. Lol.

The non pro equivalent is the Radeon 550.
Get a modern card.
A 6500xt is about 3 times as fast, has modern encoding, and retails for ~$140

Not only is this OLD AF (7 years old to be exact...), but it is no longer supported by AMD. So there will be no new driver updates.
Plus, there are a jillion on ebay between $40-$45...
