They've marked it OOS/raised the price on the website but you can still get it for the lower price if you call.

Ask them to search for the Model # WYT012GLFI19RL on the website and they will see two results, one at $768 and one for $645.48 same item, they will adjust the price for you. Online Customer Support: 800-466-3337, select place an order in the menu.

============

Check and see if you'll qualify for a rebate on this unit. In FL I will get $150.

The ebay unit does look similar. It doesn't appear to be low ambient though.

It's identical (only difference is lineset insulation is cheap). Documentation on generic stuff is lacking and incorrect a lot of times. Heated with no issue when -8F last winter.

Talking about windows....
I installed three of these into windows on a 3 floor townhouse. Screwed the bracket to the frame, ran lineset and power through windows, ta da!
And since it's temporary, you can take it with when you leave with no holes in the wall.

Thanks for the tip! I'll check it out. Much appreciated.

It's $495 on eBay every day for same unit with zokop badging. Pioneer just marks up midea units.
120V available, too.

Cheaper at $436 on HD

They mean after running 220 circuits and hanging it on a balcony or outside wall and drilling 3 to 4 inch holes through the walls Smilie At least it seems to be pre-charged.

This is a good deal for a decent unit plus low temp heating. Kinda of surprised the SEER rating isn't better. It is somewhat DIY in that the unit is precharged however the line set is not so you still need to evacuate the lines so a vacuum pump process is needed. It's not plug and play like EG4, Mr. Cool, Denali Aire, Perfect Aire, etc.

I installed a similar pioneer unit last year using this to evacuate the lines and it worked great.

That's not what evacuating means. Evacuating means pulling a vacuum on the system/lineset to less than 500 microns. Moisture(yes, even the humidity in the air) is not good for your system. As the moisture passes over the compressor windings some sciencey electrolysis stuff happens causing acid eventually eating up the insulation on the windings. Hopefully these things come with a drier to help catch what you missed. A pressure test is also better than a vacuum test. A pressure test with nitrogen will get you to operating pressures(350+psi) where a vacuum test is the equivalent of something like -16psi. A micron gauge can help with this a bit but I've had leaks show up at 275psi that weren't present at 225psi.

Pioneer KWIK-E-VAC is an all-new, revolutionary, patented kit designed to simplify the installation process. This product is intended to provide an alternative to a vacuum pump, a tool that was previously required to install mini splits. KWIK-E-VAC works by flushing the air and other non-condensable gases out of the copper line set and indoor unit combination, in order to ensure that the refrigerant in the system remains contaminant-free. In order to bleed the lines of any air and check for leaks, a vacuum pump and pressure gauges were previously needed. This kit allows the user to bypass that step, making any mini-split system truly DIY. Use this as an alternative for the inefficient and expensive quick-connect line sets, which reduce system efficiency and capacity, and cost 10 times more than the cost of this kit. A cost-effective, simple, and quick evacuation, perfect for most people and installations.

I used a vacuum pump last time, but that can seems like it would have been a good option.

I'm all for a slick deal but when it comes to these units we just stick with Daikin. It is the best quality for the money. If you are going to go to the effort of installing one of these in a garage, man cave, or bonus room get something that will work.

Only works down to -13f whereas a true cold climate like senville is still 75% output at -22f, just fyi
