Otherwise, I 100% agree though with it being dumb of Apple to be shipping 8GB and 512GB SSD's with their base pro models (and charging $1599 for it as well). The Pro model should start with 16GB and a 1TB drive - they're asking $1999 for that though.

One can argue that even at $900 right now from those same retailers, the M3 version is a better value (and includes the 2nd year warranty from Costco). And for those who are on a stricter budget, the M1 model is still only $650 at Walmart. Ultimately, between the $650 M1 and the $850-$900 M3, the M2 model is in a no-man's land pricewise.

Only makes sense @:
M3 $850
M2 $750
M1 $650
But until that price is 12GB ram min, I will not buy. I don't care if it is significant enough for most or even me (which I don't agree as the OS takes up 4gb+ ram itself). Their upgrade prices are offensive and that's the only response within my power. It makes no sense to rip off customers this way when their market share is low and they could be increasing revenue through other means like monthly subscriptions once getting customers in their ecosystem.
