specs look greathow does 4k feel on a 27" rather than a 32", is it acceptable or not worth it?
i have 27, 28, 32.
if you use just one, 32 will be the sweet spot.
27 if you have dual monitor setup.
28 is weird, it actually feels more like 32 than 27", i run the same windows 125% on it and feel fine.
run windows at %125 on 27" feels too small.

Do you have the 4K curved 32" of this model? I am thinking to go with the 32" for $80 more since I am planning to only use 1 main monitor and the laptop on the side but not sure if I like the curve monitor.
32" for $80 extra is a va panel

I have been using several different model of 27" Dell 4k display. I have also used 27" Dell 1440 display. After using 4k, I am never going back to 1414 again. Dell 4k monitors are superior, crisp and clear text and graphics.

Oops.. thanks for pointing that out!

What is better, a 4K 27" or WQHD 34" assuming it is both IPS monitors?

This is my primary display for work. I don't have a similar 32" to compare but this monitor is fantastic for all the email and spreadsheet stuff I do.
I have a 1080p 27" intentionally because of the screen sharing/presentation issue. With a 4k screen, a lot of my coworkers on various monitors had a lot of trouble and I was constantly zooming and reframing things. I also tend to like larger icons and text, I find it reduces eye strain for everyday stuff. All YMMV, I'd consider 4k for photo and video work, but then again I'd also go larger.

My coworker with a 37" widescreen is miserable…she ends up having to share one application at a time or else nobody can see what she's doing. I'm still a fan of 2 medium monitors over 1 large one if you have to share a lot

The sweet spot is 27" or 28" 4K , running unscaled. Believe me. You can train yourself to work with and appreciate the value and ergonomics this provides. 32" 4K could also be fine, depending on the distance, but I have converged on 28" 4K monitors and got rid of 32" 4K also lately.

A benefit of 27" that many skip over is that if you do ever game, you can run games at 1080 which will still look great at 27, but begin to be too pixelated at 32 imo. 27 4k is a great compromise if you have a game/work type hybrid setup

350 nits seems kind of low, anyone have any experience with brightness problems? I don't have windows in my office, but like my screens bright-ish. This would be primarily for workstation photoshop and video editing hobby stuff.

How do you guys do freesync at 60hz? Isn't it like the frame rare will always be a 60fps constant? Or anything over 60 fps will be dropped down to 60?

Yeah I have the Dell S3221QS. It's decent. I think it's a decent buy at $200-$250 or so, I got it around that price. There's a lot of quality issues with this particular model, but if you get a good panel it's not bad. Personally, I like the VA and 3000:1 contrast (general use, documents, and media, no gaming).

The curve on the S3221QS is 1800R, which is very mild. Imo it works really well on a 32", as it "flattens" out the panel imo. I also use the monitor at a distance, 5-15 feet, and don't have much negative effects from the curvature. I think a 1500R (GIGABYTE M32UC 32) is just a bit more than 1800R, and is at that point where it might be too much curve, but still not too noticeable. 1000R (Samsung) is very severe.

For 4k 27" vs 1440p 34", you really gotta decide what you are looking for. Personally, I can only do 4k+, so 1440p would be unacceptable for me even though it would have a higher frame rate for the price. I don't game, so even though 120 Hz is nice for general use (like scrolling, cursor movements, etc.), it's not a deal breaker for me, whereas anything under 4k is a deal breaker for me. My brother has the AW3420DW 34" 120Hz 1440p, and the pixel density is garbage for me.
