I'm not sure where you're coming from with this but typically things don't go down in price over time. factoring inflation, it's surprising it's still at this price point.

This is the best $100 chair you can get new. If you're over 70" tall, make sure to do the headrest mod to make this more comfortable.

Seems like a good deal! Anyone's thoughts on it for someone around 5'1? I use a chair I got a while back through another Staples deal but my feet don't touch the ground even at its lowest setting.

go to the buildapcsales sub and this chair has been in the low $100s as far back as 10 years ago

i doubt the design or materials have improved in the last 10 years this chair should only be $50 or less new now
I asked ChatGPT to revise your comment. FIFY YVW."This is a highly rated chair that's consistently offered at a low price. You'll rarely find another chair in this price range that performs as well, and it's unlikely to drop below its current deal price."

i was able to get $15 off with spin the wheel that showed up when logging in, got the chair for $95 plus tax. A friend tried the same but couldn't get the same offer, so YMMV

great value on a budget mesh chair, but vinyl armrests will crack after a year or 2. I just cut some soft furniture vinyl, wrap it over...

I successfully snagged this deal. Thanks for sharing it. I've been needing to replace my existing computer chair for years now. Finally got one coming now thanks to this deal. My cost breakdown = $109.99 - $10.00 coupon they sent to my email, +$6.00 tax = $105.99 total.

Recommendation based on personal experience: go to the store and sit in it befoe you buy it. This chair while uncomfortable for me has become my kid's daily driver.

This chair is for the budget oriented person who's dipping into working from home. The problem with this chair is that the mesh seat starts sagging after year one (1). The locking points are not great as well. I was comfortable buying a new Hyken every year but I'm getting too old for that. Recently upgraded to a Steelseries (Leap/Amia) and I don't expect to buy another chair for atleast five (5) years.
A mod that's worked out well for me is buying a high density cushion foam from Walmart and stuffing it under the webbing. I've been rocking this chair for nearly 7 years now and aside from the arm rests starting to split in the middle its held up pretty well for the $100 I paid for it back in 2018 or so.
For just light gaming and desktop browsing this chair is unbeatable for the money. If you WFH or live in your chair I'd probably look at more premium options like steelcase though.

Your logic is so sound that it has applied to nothing else in the state of the economy. Good job!

I've never really commented before, but this is one item I had to opine on.

I see a few comments that mention this is a budget chair and/or nowhere near as good as other higher end chairs so I wanted to give my perspective. I bought one of these for exactly that reason several years ago since I was working from home 100% of the time. It was cheap and I needed a chair. After using this for 1-2 years I thought I would upgrade to a higher end chair, so tried out both the Leap V2 Steelseries as well as the Herman Miller Aeron. I had to immediately send the Steelseries back because the non-mesh seating material wasn't for me. I used the Aeron for about 3-4 months before I decided that the back leaned back too far even with the lock installed. Afterwards, I ended up re-buying this Hyken chair because the back support was so good for me and it was the only chair I could sit in for extended periods without having aches and pains or discomfort. When you check it in person you can see that it has more plastic parts than either Steelseries or Herman Miller chairs, but that is somewhat expected given the price range. That being said, it is comfortable as can be and I've never had any issues with it honestly. To me, this chair is worth much more than $100, but if anyone can get it at that price it's one sweet deal.

If you're over 5ft 10, STAY AWAY. I am 6 ft and the headrest of this chair hits me in the upper back and kills my posture.

Used Herman Miller chairs are the real slick deal. $200-400 locally for a $1400 chair that lasts 25 years and is comfortable for 12 hours a day.

This chair will be at $99 three or four times per year, without fail. It has for the last half-decade or more, and has multiple times since the tariffs were introduced. Staples doesn't care as much about the chair's actual pricing as they do attaching Asurion warranties... so while this is a decent price for a relatively decent chair, it's erroneous to say it's unlikely to go lower than this price.

I know people love this chair because it's cheap as hell, but after using it for 4 years, then getting an aeron, holy shit it's such a huge difference it's ridiculous. This chair actually is awful. I'd try to spend a few more bucks getting the cheapest used aeron possible.
