i doubt the design or materials have improved in the last 10 years this chair should only be $50 or less new now

For just light gaming and desktop browsing this chair is unbeatable for the money. If you WFH or live in your chair I'd probably look at more premium options like steelcase though.

I see a few comments that mention this is a budget chair and/or nowhere near as good as other higher end chairs so I wanted to give my perspective. I bought one of these for exactly that reason several years ago since I was working from home 100% of the time. It was cheap and I needed a chair. After using this for 1-2 years I thought I would upgrade to a higher end chair, so tried out both the Leap V2 Steelseries as well as the Herman Miller Aeron. I had to immediately send the Steelseries back because the non-mesh seating material wasn't for me. I used the Aeron for about 3-4 months before I decided that the back leaned back too far even with the lock installed. Afterwards, I ended up re-buying this Hyken chair because the back support was so good for me and it was the only chair I could sit in for extended periods without having aches and pains or discomfort. When you check it in person you can see that it has more plastic parts than either Steelseries or Herman Miller chairs, but that is somewhat expected given the price range. That being said, it is comfortable as can be and I've never had any issues with it honestly. To me, this chair is worth much more than $100, but if anyone can get it at that price it's one sweet deal.
Used Herman Miller chairs are the real slick deal. $200-400 locally for a $1400 chair that lasts 25 years and is comfortable for 12 hours a day.
go to the buildapcsales sub and this chair has been in the low $100s as far back as 10 years ago

I asked ChatGPT to revise your comment. FIFY YVW."This is a highly rated chair that's consistently offered at a low price. You'll rarely find another chair in this price range that performs as well, and it's unlikely to drop below its current deal price."
