Didn't say it wasn't good, just too expensive compared to even its own price history
The OP didn't mention it but, as others are saying, if you use the 10% off in-app coupon, this takes it down to the usual best price this drops to. It definitely won't match last year's PM of ~$800 for the monitor, but I doubt we ever see that again. $1,300 is the usual good price for this, and that's effectively what this is if you use the in-app coupon.
The only better deal that ever happens is the rare time that Costco drops it to $1,300 with the $120 gift card included. IMO, *that* is the best deal we ever see with this monitor for a few reasons. Even without that $120 gift card, the support from Costco to be able to return/swap the monitor if you have issues with it is 500x's better than dealing with Samsung's warranty support for this thing.
It's definitely debatable whether this freebie monitor or the $1 2yr extended warranty from Samsung is better. That's probably for any individual to decide on that tradeoff.

Good analysis. Given the quality control issues with these I would personally get every warranty extension possible.
Costco is great but I'll wait for next gen, I got two 27" 4k 144Hz IPS monitors for under $500 and paying 2-3x as much to glue them together isn't worth it in my case (since I don't care about the mini LED or contrast).

Monitor pulls up at $2,299 for me so the deal must be expired. I'm kinda waiting for the Acer to drop in cost since the 120 hz limitation doesn't matter for my use and prefer the in-monitor speakers. I first started looking for a 58" at the end of October when the Costco deal was live. After researching to confirm a 58" was really what I wanted, the Costco deal was gone. 😩 Fingers crossed for a BF deal.
